I don’t have cancer, Laz. They got it all. Now they’re just using a drug that
suppresses my HER-2 cancer gene so that I don’t get it again.
There are two more drugs that kill fast-growing (cancer) cells and other
naturally fast-growing cells such a hair follicles and alimentary canal
cells from entry to exit.
All of these problems have remedies, and I will take advantage of each
and every one of them, following instructions to the letter. That is how I
have always been able to survive and recover from my ailments.
Cancer is serious, and the treatments can be very painful.
What would I ever do without you?
Yours and others prayers are bolstering me throughout this treatment.
I cannot ever thank you enough.
It did go well, and what pain I had was explained ahead of time,
so it was not unexpected, thus losing its power to get me down.
You’re very welcome, dear bd. That is just a gorgeous picture,
as your pictures are always breathtaking.
Thank you so much! I was nearly daunted when my oncologist told me that I’d need chemo
for a year, so it is good to have some great advice from someone who has been there.
I knew about ginger, and believe it or not, our Chinese mailman, who was suffering from
nausea happened to mention it to me, and I gave him some candied ginger root, and he
swore that it cured him, praise God.
However, I have yet to try buttermilk but intend to if all else fails.
A giant Happy New Year to you and yours as well!
It wasn’t my decision. Dr. Lu, my oncologist, insisted. It was explained to me in detail, and I was able
to handle a sample port and she said exactly what its function was and where it would be inserted.
I was armed (no pun intended) and ready for it when they inserted it. I do have some bleeding wounds,
probably from the Heparin they use to irrigate the port after chemo, but other than that, it went exactly
as expected.
Yes, thank you, Dear Man. My next sixteen visits for chemo will be very routine by the time we go to
the last one. Your prayers are keeping me alive and kicking, I truly believe it.
You are quite right. God’s love to you as well, my friend.
Keep that up TOL.
Bryan is indeed precious. It was a very good day today, and none of the meds made me nauseated. I also learned a LOT about the process, and
the chemicals and drugs and how to use them. I’m more confident now.
All these gifts to me are from the Grace of God through the prayers of
my dear friends, on Free Republic, in my family, and even at Bryan’s
job. Many people are keeping me going through Our Lord and Savior.
You know very well that I love you, too.
But I will never wear a wig. People are just going to have to put
up with my bald head, with perhaps a small amount of peach fuzz.
I’m actually eager to see what color it will grow back. I am hoping
and praying for pure white.
Happy, Healthy and Blessed New Year.
I love you, TOL.
I love you too, my First Darling.
May this New Year be your best year, ever. May your family find
peace and solace, happiness and success, and prosperity for all.
I’m going to wrestle this bull to the ground and show him who’s
boss around here! ;-)
I’m a stubborn old bat, and giving up is not an option.
Thank you so much.
I just read that you’re wishing or hoping for “pure white” hair, so I’ll go along with that too, since I think white hiar on you would be beyond gorgeous with your beautiful, flawless skin and big brown eyes!
WOW!
However, if you get that “fancy Salon-blend” that I’m picturing in my mind, you won’t be disappointed either! And then there’s that raven-red!
She’s NOT an old bat.
LOLOLOL! We shall see! Hair should start growing again about
mid-May when they stop the two drugs that kill fast-growing cells.
Please don’t pray for “raven red!!!” ;-)
I am too! And stubborn as 40 mules. [giggles]
And I gotta go to bed, for the day has not been restful, but it has
been full of thanks to God for all the prayers for me from friends.
You’re a sweetie pie, First Darling, and you, too, The Cajun.
No trips scheduled.. I’d like to go to the Middle East tho.. a Holy Land tour .. Before it gets Caliphated.. Or Sharpton’d.
NOT to worry.
I’d never pray for raven red!!
I’m going with your wish.
I’m praying first for your totally successful “drug treatment.” I like the sound of THAT.....lol..... and secondly for your “pure white” hair.
“April showers bring May flowers.”
All makes sense!
Speaking as an old coot, I would never call TOL an old bat!
Now on the raven-red hair thing...........................
I’d love to see Israel.
I wanted to see the Vatican and Israel with DrO.
The sweet man even got a Passport, unbeknownst to me, but I guess he didn’t tell me, because he must not have been feeling well for quite some time ... and he didn’t tell me that either.
Now I don’t want to go anywhere.
I just want to move from here.
ASAP.
