Hang in there.. wifey did a year of chemo quite awhile ago and believe it or not, buttermilk can help calm a tender tummy :-), that and ginger.. or so they say.

and Yes, chemo has come a long way. We have a niece recently diagnosed with cancer, she is just starting a chemo and radiation.

I've had a couple rounds of interferon stuff that knocked me for a loop.. and now look forward to new drug regimens not based on interferon.

Some times Big Pharma screws up good.

We’re back from Akron, and I have had my three drugs.

The experience was not exactly as advertised, and there was no time at all to fire up the laptop and lurk around here. There
were a lot of busy RNs running around seeing to others getting chemo, and Bryan and I were chatting for the most part.

We will know better next time, and we will bring whatever book each of us will be currently reading at the time.

The port-insertion surgery was mostly painless, and I got plenty of local anesthetic. But when it wore off, it was achy, but
that was to be expected. The port worked very well, and now I have a bandage on it and can’t shower for the next two days.

Thanks again for all your prayers. I’m sure that things would have gone much worse without your prayers to God for me.
