Start with the original slavers - Africans
“The vast majority of slaves taken out of Africa were sold by African rulers, traders and a military aristocracy who all grew wealthy from the business. Most slaves were acquired through wars or by kidnapping. The Portuguese Duatre Pacheco Pereire wrote in the early sixteenth century after a visit to Benin that the kingdom “is usually at war with its neighbours and takes many captives, whom we buy at twelve or fifteen brass bracelets each, or for copper bracelets, which they prize more.” Olaudah Equiano, an ex-slave, described in his memoirs published in 1789 how African rulers carried out raids to capture slaves.”
Both blacks and whites were traders! The whites didn’t dare go inland off the African coast - they bought the slaves from AFRICAN Chiefs who brought them to the coast and sold them.
The slave trade ended ONLY after many years of WHITES fighting both sides of the slave traders to end it.
So, Crissy - and the rest of you - own up to the BLACK side of Slavery.

This isn't very ancient history. The Kenya/Mombasa Slave trade was only almost completely suppressed by the 1920s. Records show an Obama or two arrested, tried and imprisoned for slaving. Unfortunately, slavery still exists in both East and West Africa. Slave traders still supply local markets and the Islamic world.
Our exalted Leader makes much of his Luo heritage, including his family ties to the Marxist/Jihadi Raila Odinga, for whom he campaigned (illegally) in Kenya. After Odinga's loss in the elections of 2006, Odinga led an insurrection in which thousands of Christians were massacred. Cousin Barry, then led a Soros-financed Campaign in the UN and our own DoS to have Odinga made Prime Minister, despite his election loss. He was an honored guest at the first Inauguration.
Slavery? The Obama Family knows all about it on the wholesale side.
