Media outlets are reporting a body has been found near Ohio State while police are providing no updates on the search for a football player missing since Wednesday.
WBNS-TV, WCMH-TV and The Columbus Dispatch reported Sunday that police confirm a body has been found. But both police and Ohio State Coach Urban Meyer say they have no updates on the search for defensive lineman Kosta Karageorge.
A police report says Karageorge's mother told authorities he has had concussions and spells of confusion. She said he texted a message Wednesday citing the concussions and saying he was sorry if he was "an embarrassment."
The Buckeyes defeated Michigan on Saturday, 42-28. Defensive lineman Michael Bennett said afterward that Karageorge missed practices that teammates started getting nervous Thursday.

Now seeing reports that he’s been identified by tattoos. Self inflicted gunshot wound.
Sad. Very sad.
Prayers to his family. If it isn’t him, prayers to that family.
I just heard this on the car radio while running an errand. If the worst is true, a tragic end for this troubled young man.
It is his body.

Prayers up for the family and girlfriend.
When he suffers repeated concussions, it can cause a person to do things that are out of character.
Yet she let him continue to play football. I thought parents were supposed to protect their children.
Really? According to who?
Using your logic, all the current and past athletes who have ever suffered concussions should have killed themselves by now..........
oh my...how completely horrible and sad
Oh no. NO. Please don’t let it be him. I hate that it’s got to be anyone, but this just seems too sad to be him. I hope not.
I’m not a psychologist, but I’d guess he suffered from depression, not some concussion related syndrome.
Unusual to show up so soon, in a college athlete.
Sounds like another Junior Seau.
You’re right. He was just a lost soul.
We can understand why he might have killed himself. It was just all a random act of self-violence.
Do I need to cut and paste on what is known about concussions and the state of mind it can put a person through?
This last one happening during recruit training at Great Lakes. He woke up in hospital. Unfortunately the navy gave him a medical discharge under honorable conditions.
They did tell him he could try again in two years.
Unfortunately, I suspect you're right........
Oh, how sad. Just because of the concussions?? RIP.
