So would he, the only reason he was needed around was because he was a witness in the matter, and he needed to report the event to his superiors in the police department. Once he was done testifying, he was free to leave.
Hopefully he could get a nice private security job from some rich family with connections. Perhaps he could hire a headhunter to help him with a special type of “security job”...
