Any sane police officer is going to be completely moved out of town, and possibly done with being a police officer. They also will go by a name other than Wilson. He knows that he is a mob target. Given the savage nature of mobs, he knows that they also might target his wife or any children in the future he might have as well. Because of this, he is moving off the radar, which makes a whole lot of sense right now.

I would think any white police officer on the Ferguson police force would be thinking hard about a change of scenery at this point.
Federal pressure is going to make changing the racial make-up of that PD mandatory.

He should consider St. Louis County, Minnesota. Not much chance of black mobs there. Their black population is .0085% of the total. Its as big as Massachusetts. Kinda on the cold side though.
