Fly the friendly sty: Disruptive emotional support pig removed from plane
November 28, 2014
by Twitchy Staff
Weve seen flights diverted because of suspected terrorists on board. Then it was the fear of passengers carrying the Ebola virus. ABC News, though, has the story of a woman who was removed from a flight after it was discovered her duffel bag was actually an emotional support pig on a leash.
The US Airways flight from Connecticut kicked the woman and her pig off the plane before taking off Wednesday.
Let the emotional support pig puns commence.....

Also, don't know if you read about this...a month or so ago there was a story of an El Al flight where a group of “ultra Orthodox” Jewish men refused to sit next to women because of some claimed requirement of Judaism.IIRC this caused a serous disruption but I don't recall how it was resolved (or even *if* it was resolved).

Is there a weight limit for carry-on pigs?

I SO agree with you! I raised a guide dog pup once (for 14 months) for a reputable, accredited guide dog organization and know the farce of "self trained" support animals and even unaccredited places that train poorly.
Want a dog that will lead you into traffic when it's not clear?? Yeah, that's what I mean.
These people that go around with "support" ponies or pigs or snakes....a load of doodoo.

Crazy people are taking animals calling them :service animals” and imposing their will on the general public. Complain about it, and you get sued.

Is there a weight limit for carry-on pigs? No weight limit but there is a size restriction:

If this disturbed woman is so emotionally fragile that she “needs” her emotional support pig with her, the fool should never leave the protection of her home. Weak.

So - she went through security and nobody noticed she had a pig instead of a duffel bag?

I knew somsone with an emotional support cat that she was allowed to bring onto airplanes while on a leash. I wondered how the people who were allergic to cats felt about that.

Let the emotional support pig puns commence...James Heath wrote a song called "Nurture My Pig!"
Butanyway, I went to a restaurant here in liberal Austin land where a group brought a dog that they tried to pass off as a service dogbut clearly wasn't. A real service dog lays quiet under the table. This one kept crawling out to try and meet with other diners. Given the establishment and the town, I thought for sure the staff was going to let it slide. To my surprise, the owner guardian was politely asked to leave the dog their animal-compansion outside. First time I ever saw a liberal lay down the law for another.

I hope Geico Pig takes ‘em to the cleaners! It wouldn’t be right if light-skinned pigs can fly but dark-skinned ones are ordered off! :-D

Great point. I’m surprised it wasn’t confiscated by the TSA.

Exactly what I was thinking. Did anyone ask how TSA’s vigilant screening to protect the public missed a pig?

Wonder how the pig felt about being mistaken for a duffle bag.
