Attorney General-elect Adam Laxalt is joining the charge to condemn President Barack Obamas executive action on immigration.
In one of his first public moves since winning the attorney general race on Nov. 4, Laxalt signed onto a joint statement sponsored by the Republican Attorneys General Association objecting to Obamas decision to prevent the deportation of an estimated 5 million people. The statement also questions the validity of Obamas oath to protect the Constitution.
Signed by 20 attorneys general and attorneys general-elects, the letter doesnt outline any course of legal action from RAGA members. But it dovetails with Republican promises to challenge the presidents action in court and buttresses the oft-used insult that the president is a monarch and emperor.

The tab for king obamas amnesty decree? It could be $6 TRILLION

The typical unlawful immigrant is 34 years old. After amnesty, this individual will receive government benefits, on average, for 50 years. Restricting access to benefits for the first 13 years after amnesty therefore has only a marginal impact on long-term costs.
If amnesty is enacted, the average adult unlawful immigrant would receive $592,000 more in government benefits over the course of his remaining lifetime than he would pay in taxes.
Over a lifetime, the former unlawful immigrants together would receive $9.4 trillion in government benefits and services and pay $3.1 trillion in taxes. They would generate a lifetime fiscal deficit (total benefits minus total taxes) of $6.3 trillion. (All figures are in constant 2010 dollars.) This should be considered a minimum estimate. It probably understates real future costs because it undercounts the number of unlawful immigrants and dependents who will actually receive amnesty and underestimates significantly the future growth in welfare and medical benefits.
The most recent studies after the fact, concluded that Obamas unlawful Amnesty will cost over $6 trillion just regarding Social Security and Medicare bankrupting both.
Nice to hear that surname again in NV politics.
He’s both that AND a Domenici. I’d rather see him jump into his grandpa’s old Senate seat in 2016 instead of Gov. Sandoval.
It’s Sandoval’s nomination to take but a Basque name back in the Senate would be nice and Northern Nevada would love it. Sandoval may have a VP shot though too. If Sandoval does not run for Senate you know he is on the short VP list.
In hindsight, Paul Laxalt should’ve been Reagan’s VP.
The GOP doesn't work that way (sadly). It was Bush's due.
Bankrupting appears to one part of his grand socialism plan what else is down the pike we won’t hear about until he’s long out of office.
