A Gregg County grand jury declined to return indictments against three officers involved in the shooting of Justin Aguilar on March 9, 2014. The grand jury's decision means that under Texas law no criminal charges will be filed. Aguilar died from wounds sustained after he was shot by Longview police following a gun battle with officers.

why was there even a grand jury involved?
Dead thug was a Latino.
But you don’t see Latinos riot and burn down their cities because a court decision didn’t go their way.
Only blacks for some reason get mighty upset when the police shoot lawless black thugs dead and seek to make a federal case out of it.
The objective is to make police hesitate before opening fire.

Well, perhaps there's merit in that.
It's standard procedure in Texas. Every homicide is reviewed by a grand jury.
This point is a prominent discussion in every CHL class I've attended: when you shoot someone in self-defense, they may die.
If they die, you'll have your actions scrutinized by a grand jury. You should plan on spending $10,000-$20,000 on a lawyer just to get through it, even if your action was completely justified.
Latinos don’t riot because they don’t want to be jailed then possibly deported. Once legalized that will change.
And perhaps there’ll be a few dead cops because of that hesitation.
The perp was probably a “White Hispanic” so it would be too hard to convince the brothers they should riot over a “white guy with a Spanish name.”
Not if the 12-yr olds are shooting BB guns.
I’m talking about the 12 to 18-year-olds with real ones. Do you expect cops to wait until they get shot at so they can be sure it’s a real gun?

Cops sure get no billed a lot. The rest of us will get 90%+ chance.
And they probably won't. They will go to where they think the "offender" lives and burn that area down. Its been my experience that "latinos" have a different sense of "honor/respect" (and payback) than black thugs have.
Did you watch the video? Have you seen pictures of the weapon?
Thug was wandering around pointing the weapon at people and was acting strangly. . and caused the situation.
You gonna bet your life some thug with a weapon in his hand is ‘just’ carrying a BB gun?
Imagine the FReeper response if it was a case of a CCW person shooting a thug when the thug pulled a weapon on him.
Darwin Award coments and ‘good shooting’ and ‘more time at the range’ posts would be plenty.
