Looked to me like most of the protesters are young. So they most likely weren't around during the 1960s when race riots were common, especially after Dr. King's assassination. Many of the communities destroyed in those riots never recovered.

Detroit being the perfect example 47 years laterafter the '67 riots - Coleman Young to burned out neighborhoods to Kwame (the biggest criminal in Michigan history) Kilpatrick to bankruptcy to burned out neighborhoods…to…

(hopefully we've bottomed out in Detroit)
