Country star Garth Brooks was scheduled to appear on several shows this week, including Thanksgiving edition of “The Tonight Show.” But his conscience won’t let him do it anymore. Because of … Ferguson?

Brooks appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, but that appearance was pretaped. The country superstar was scheduled to appear on Tuesday’s Live! With Kelly and Michael, on Thursday’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Friday’s Today.
I do not care one cent. It seems that all of them are nuts. His opinion does not matter. I quit listening to country music decades ago. Guess he did not learn anything from those Chicks. Bless his heart.
I have hardly heard any of Mr. Brooks’s songs and just now found out he is socialist. Surely won’t be listening if I had been doing so.

“Brooks also opened up how he and Yearwood got together as they were both married to other people when they first met. While Brooks split from his college sweetheart, songwriter Sandy Mahl, in 2000, Yearwood had been married twice before (to Chris Latham and Robert Reynolds).
The duo first met in 1987 when Brooks’ friend songwriter Kent Blazy introduced them and the star admitted he felt an immediate connection to Yearwood, despite the fact that he was newly married.
“When she left, he goes, ‘What did you think?’ I said, ‘Well, it’s strange, because I felt that feeling like when you just meet your wife, but I’ve been married for 13 months,” he explained.

.......just for some context on this thread ole Garth sold 68,300,000 albums since 1991 which makes him # 1 since that time (referred to as the Sound Scan Era). This means he is well over 5 million albums ahead of his nearest rival, the Beatles.
He’s number two all time behind Elvis in best selling solos.
He’ sold over 190 million albums, singles and videos world wide.
Notwithstanding any of the foregoing, there’s no question this incident makes him look pretty damn stupid.
I like his music but I like him less for this and really question his common sense and IQ for going on Degenerate’s show. Few of his fans will like that I’m sure.

he sold his records in a time when country music was big......everyone was buying.....its drying up fast....and people like me who took in 12 concerts in one year, and bought cassettes and then cd’s by several dozen....well, I haven’t bought one of those for a long long long time...at least not country....
