The High Court on Wednesday kiboshed government plans to demolish the homes of terrorists. One of the few methods security forces in Israel have to discourage Arabs from joining the ranks of terrorists demolishing the homes of those involved in terrorism was taken off the table as the result of a lawsuit by an Arab rights group.
The government must now respond to the restraining order the Court issued on home demolitions if it wants to continue using the sanction. According to security officials, the prospect that their family's home will be demolished has discouraged potential terrorists from carrying out attacks, as they fear the wrath of their families who will become homeless.
In Wednesday's case, the Court ruled that security forces could not demolish the home of Mu'taz Hijazi, the terrorist who shot and seriously injured Temple Mount activist Yehuda Glick outside the Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem last month. Hijazi had been an employee at the Center's restaurant.
The decision Wednesday is likely to affect the demolitions of the homes of Ghassan and Uday Abu al Jamal, the two terrorists who carried out the massacre at the "Kehillat Bnei Torah" synagogue in Jerusalem's Har Nof neighborhood last week. Four civilians and one police officer were murdered in that attack, and several people were wounded as well. Orders for the demolition were handed down last week.

So an "Arab rights group" is the same thing as a Terrorist rights group.
Hey! Your terrorists wear black robes, just like ours!
Blow up the court.
I would never do that, but if someone did, what would happen? Would they demolish his house?
They’re another man’s freedom fighter, and they’re fighting freedom as hard as they can.
It’s an old punishment Israel used to use to punish terrorists. They have brought it back into vogue.
Terrorists have “rights” but their victims do not. Hmmmm, sounds much like the US under El-Presidente.
If the government can’t do it...
Okay! Don’t demolish the house. Award it to the victim’s family to use or sell to whichever Yeshiva they want to sell it to... No need for a new building permit that would piss off Washington, the criminal and his family are made to feel the pain, and the neighborhood gets better in that there are fewer Arabs and those that are left are terrified of the next annexation/terrorist incident and are motivated to stop it before it happens. Just saying...
Oh yeah. I forgot. Deport the terrorist family to an Arab country. I hereby volunteer to give up my Right of Return claims on the house my family had in Sharab Yemen before they were forced to leave in 1948.
No way to avoid pissing off Washington. It’s a given. Do it anyway, though. You’re right.
What a noble sacrifice. You’d actually give up returning to Yemen just so a terrorist family could move there? My eyes are moist. I have a lump in my throat.
OK! STICK ‘EM ON A PLANE! WE GOT US A DESTINATION!
Don’t forget that 800000 of us Jews lost all our lands in Arab countries and have never been compensated for it. Population exchange like Nansen did for the Greeks and Turks. He got a Nobel Peace Prize for it when it still meant something.
And this sticks their precious Right of Return argument right back into their faces. And how come my family didn’t get UN money for the last 60 years? We were refugees too!
And the Iraqis hit my childhood home in Shchonat Hatikva with a Scud while I was in Saudi for Desert Storm. They owe me a house and I would gladly give up my rights for that if they will take in another Palestinian family...
So let’s do the math. Deport 800,000 Muslim Palestinians and keep the Christians and Druze. About 1,200,000 total Palestinians with the Druze and Christians about 200,000 that leaves about 200,000 troublemakers that we can do population exchanges for with Syrian and Lebanese Druze and Christians. Solves everyone’s problems
Done. And we pay the terrorist families for their movables left behind by giving them each bulk packages equivalent to the value of the lost property, filled with the same candy that they passed out to celebrate the multiple murders committed by their boys. They can sell it on street corners in their new homes, eat it, watch it get inundated with ants and roaches, or throw it at each other. Their choice.
Don’t forget Copt and Iraqi Christians. Better neighbors than Palis by far, I’m sure.
