Missouri Governor Jay Nixon (D) came under political fire from his Lt. Governor Peter Kinder (R) for failing to deploy the Missouri National Guard in Ferguson before rioting got out of control. Kinder appeared on Fox News Tuesday morning with Martha MacCallum and expressed strong criticism about the Governors lack of action and lack of communication.
You know what the difference is between an executive and a Senator or Member of Congress? Kinder asked MacCallum. He then answered his own question stating, You actually have to do something. Thus began a very angry commentary by the Missouri Lt. Governor against the Governor who declared a state of emergency six-days ago yet failed to move the national guard into place to protect the citizens of Ferguson.

Since 0bama lost MO twice I think we can count on them going Republican again in ‘16.
As far as the National Guard goes, what were they doing last night? What is the point of having them there if they aren’t going to quell all that violence and mayhem. Seems like a lot more of them are needed.
It seems ridiculous to YOU, but not to them. They are totally unaware they're being USED.
“They want civility, let em police themselves!”
And here’s the irony; they would do a far better job at greatly lower cost. You can’t force social norms on large groups of people who don’t accept those norms absent sending in an armed force. Why go there?
How can you not know that DEMOCRAT GOV. NIXON’S delaying the Guard’s deployment was INTENTIONAL so as to ALLOW rioting to occur. The Dems prey on chaos! AL SHARPTON IS RELEVANT AGAIN, HOOOORAY!!!
Last night (this morning) I was stunned to read what the mayor was saying ..basically begging the governor to send the NG in. He called a press conference in middle of night to publicly ask for help. He said exactly what the lt governor said.
This governor is easily led. ..he’s been a useful idiot all along.
Many thanks for this info!

And things get.... ‘interesting’.
Sorry, good buddy. I’m still not getting the President Buckwheat gestalt. I get the plantation hubris and agree with you.
I also agree with your statement: “however ludicrous that may be.”
However, these savages are still just that - savages. That means no civil value.
For all amongst us who have escaped from such neighborhoods and areas, and our like minded fellow citizens who are foreign born legal immigrants, who escaped from even worse situations...WE all “go there” because tolerating such things is not an option in our society.
The “large groups of people” unable or unwilling to abide by our social norms are more than welcome to leave.

I suspect that it was decided to leave the businesses unprotected intentionally to allow the looting. Give these criminals what they want, allow them to steal and destroy, thereby diffusing some of the rage. After all, it’s the big bad insurance companies or big business that will pay.
How many looters should the Guardsmen kill?
Every one they see engaged in looting businesses or burning property down until it stops. Rioting is a very serious breach of order and should be treated as such.
MO legislature is over 70% GOP in both houses and GOP has the LtGov. It’s a shame they lost the Gov. to Nixon 6 years ago and couldn’t get it back in ‘12. I don’t know which party has the Atty Gen, which post might become important after the rioting. Don’t know what it takes to impeach Nixon in MO, but the GOP has lots of votes and may receive sufficient political cover if he goofs up too much more here.
MO will always have a Democrat presence out of extended loyalty to HST and the Pendergast machine.
The American people as a whole, particularly in the North, have long had a soft spot for thuggery of this kind.
“Because the USA is not Europe, and few among we citizens want apartheid or balkanization.”
What we might want and what we get are often two different things. While we might want the underclass in fergidishu, detroit, chiraq and other places to observe prevailing social norms, its obvious that will never happen. And they’re not leaving, either.
Does Lt Gov Kinder have a name or names of those in the 0 admin who blocked/delayed the deployment of the Guard?
What charges could those in the 0 admin be brought up on, sue to their inaction?

EVIDENCE IS MOUNTING THAT ISIS IS HELPING TO INCITE THE FERGUSON RIOTS

Despite MO now being pretty safe GOP for President, and having a heavily GOP legislature, rats still overperform in statewide offices. That needs to change in 2016.
Holding elections statewide in off-year elections (as they do exclusively and oddly just for State Auditor) I think would be a better idea. Even with the GOP winning the state as it has for President since 2000, it has done next to nothing for the downballot offices (winning only once for Governor, in 2004; once for Sec of State in 2000; once for Treasurer in 2004; and not since 1988 has a Republican won the Attorney Generalship). Only Peter Kinder has had any success, but by the barest of pluralities in his three terms as Lt Governor: 48.95% in 2004; 49.88% in 2008 and 49.28% in 2012.
Would be nice if CA had the same loyalty to Reagan.
