The New York Times published information about the address of Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson on Monday in a move that has generated controversy. Tensions are running high in Ferguson, Missouri, as the world awaits a St. Louis County grand jurys decision on whether to indict the white policeman for the Aug. 9 shooting death of unarmed black teen Michael Brown.
Wilson received death threats after he was identified as the officer who shot Brown, and as community members and activists plan to protest if he is not indicted, the location of his home could potentially endanger him, his new wife, and his property if the protests result in violence, some of his defenders say. Wilsons home address is a matter of public record, and it has been published in numerous media reports beginning in August.
But printing his street name in the nations most influential newspaper on the day the grand jury is expected to hand up a decision on the indictment could reignite interest in -- and awareness of -- the location, and some critics worry that it could result in protesters descending on his home. Slate even went a step further than the Times, publishing an article featuring a photo of the modest, red-brick house on Monday....

They were probably put up to it (publishing the address info) by someone in the Just Us Dept.
I am guessing that Darren Wilson will not be found at home any time soon.
Probably no shortage of volunteers to guard it out the wazoo. Anyone who messes around with this home will be sorry (whether on this or the other side of eternity).
This is definitely not right.
Any FReepers out there wanna post the address of Pinch Sulzberger’s weekend home here?
Little pinch is an evil scumbag
I guess it was deemed “news fit to print.”
This really comes as no surprise, and I’m quite certain it didn’t surprise Officer Wilson either. I can only believe that he and his family are as far away from that address as possible. If I were a neighbor of his, or even lived within a block or two of his address, I’d be out of town for a while too. It’s so wrong, but so predictable.
Telling street thugs where they can find a man they've publicly threatened to kill - "controversial".
There's yer mainstream news media. Night crawling miscreant dog squeeze that they are.
In an attempt to keep my mind so open that you can hear the Aurora Borealis within, publishing the home address of an INNOCENT L.E.O. already being showered by threats is legitimate news, HOW?!?!.
UNREAL!
That is entirely B.S.
Or he has already moved, and I hope it is far, far away.
They owe him a NEW HOUSE.
How about a target on his back?
It’s my understanding that he’s moved and relocated far away from Ferguson.
i hope I’m right.
I would if I knew it. Maybe an arsonist will find the address of the NYT.....
New York Times: GO GET HIM!
BTTT.
