President Barack Obama says voters want a "new car smell" in the 2016 White House race and that Hillary Rodham Clinton would be "a great president."
But would Clinton pass that particular smell test?
In a nationally televised interview broadcast Sunday, Obama seemed to suggest that any Democrat other than him would provide the turn of the page that he says voters are interested in. He acknowledged the "dings" to his own political standing during nearly six years of sometimes bruising battles with Congress and said Americans will want something new.
"They want to drive something off the lot that doesn't have as much mileage as me," Obama said.
But if she does run -- which she is considering, with a decision expected to be announced early next year -- would she have that "new car" scent for voters?
New car smell or not, Democratic voters hold her in such high regard that she outdistances anyone else in polling of possible Democratic candidates for 2016. One of them is Vice President Joe Biden, who has not ruled out a third run for the White House.
The 2016 presidential race could feature a repeat face-off between a Clinton and a member of another leading American political family: former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who is considering entering the 2016 race. His father and brother both were elected president. In the AP-GfK survey, Jeb Bush was most popular among potential 2016 GOP presidential candidates, with 56 percent of Republicans viewing him favorably.

Hillary is an old yellow schoolbus ready for the auto yard. The president and his wing of the Democratic Party will be behind Warren’s candidacy. The president wants to retain his power and influence in the Democratic Party when he leaves office and he can’t do that with the Clintons at the helm.
Obola just loves how he drops a phrase that he thinks is clever and we all talk about it what it means for a week.
This guy says he is too well known now, yet just eight years ago, NO ONE had ever heard of him. Didn’t take long for him to wear out his welcome.
When Reagan left office a vast majority of the American public would have gladly voted for his third term. So many wanted him to continue on, even after eight + years of constant attack by the MSM, that they elected his VP with the understanding that he would be AT LEAST as Conservative as Ronald Reagan. They where wrong.
Who the Hell is going to try to elect someone who will continue the nonsense that this POtiS has been spreading for six years. BTW it hasn’t even been six years!

Not hardly! They elected him TWICE! Even with all of Mitt’s failings. He would have made a much better President than Obama. However so would my 20 month old!

Dear Lord, would it be too much to ask that Obama have a stroke that leaves him incontinent and unable to speak? Would that not make all our lives easier in the future? I can not take a yearly Scott Pelley a$$ kissing love fest on Sixty-Minutes or the monthly interviews by assorted media sycophants for the next thirty years!
Well, when you consider that most of the smell comes from formaldehyde...maybe.
I was going to say she smells like a cow pie, but growing up in the country cow manure smell brings back good memories.
