The Rev. Al Sharpton has always been keen to maintain his reputation as the least plausible cleric since Elmer Gantry.
The racial tension and riots in Ferguson, Mo. have proved to be the perfect vehicle to do just that.
Not just satisfied with creating unrest in one beleaguered Missouri city, though, the Reverend is looking to go national with his peaceful protests that worked out so well in Ferguson.
With that, Sharptons group, the National Action Network (NAN) has put out a list of national protest sites, because apparently just one city experiencing hellish violence and racial strife just isnt enough. [H/T Gateway Pundit.]
In anticipation of the impending grand jury decision in Ferguson, MO, National Action Network (NAN) Chapters are encouraging community members to join them when it is announced, the statement reads.
Regardless of what the decision is, NAN chapters in over 20 cities around the country will gather. So you lose either way.
If Officer Wilson is indicted, the release says, the protests will focus on what would be a teaching moment on how to deal with national legislation for policing.
I had personally thought the unctuous, condescending, leaden idiom teaching moment had been retired, but apparently it still lives on in the lexicon of the professionally-offended.
If the Ferguson grand jury decision clears him of criminal charges then NAN will call for protests to remain peaceful and for the federal government to come in with a federal grand jury to move for civil rights charges on excessive force, it continues.
Yes, just like the peaceful protests that Sharpton and other leaders have led in Ferguson up until now..
Given their previous success at keeping their civil disobedience peaceful in Ferguson, you might think that Sharpton and his compatriots might have decided to forego these mass gatherings this time, but no, theyre going to keep right at it.
We all know that when Al Sharpton uses the phrase peaceful protest, its done with a nudge and a wink.
Its an meaningless blanket get-out-of-jail-free card meant to keep him out of trouble when these race baiting spectacles inevitably spiral out of control.
It seems that Sharpton seems to sense the writing on the wall as to how the grand jury will go.
This week, Sharpton wrote a piece in the New York Times, suggesting that we do away with the grand jury process (at least in cases like Officer Wilsons), and merely take the person to jury trial.
Because if the facts dont work out in your favor, change the rules. And if that doesnt work, break stuff.

I noticed that also. Good, because I’m going to Dallas in a few days.
Hmmm... Sharpass (wisely) skipped South Carolina.
That’s what I thought - can he do this? Shouldn’t he be arrested?
I don’t know that the widespread protest plan was ever a story/page at the NAN website. The NAN website claims the call will be for peaceful demonstrations. But that’s pretty much the only thing the website stands for, agitation by “peaceful” means.
Ridiculous headline. Conservative Tribune does this a lot. It almost seems like a satire site sometimes.
They need to record him. People have gone on record stating when he is off microphone in a group of black people he openly calls for violence and mayhem. This needs to be made public before more people die.
Al Sharpton is the cream of the democrat crop
I notice this race-baiting POS is not bringing his brand of collective stupidity to Texas. Just one more thing for which I am thankful.
Just around the corner from where I work ... how convenient! Be seein' you soon Al!
LOL! Thank you for the Monday morning laugh. :)
There was a story last week of the parents of the escaping thief that assaulted the police officer and got shot went he went for the cop’s gun handing out free turkeys in the street to pacify the crowd.
It must be hard to protest when you are holding a free turkey.
What a farce.
If it is done on Black Friday, it will be done after that first search of shoppers. A lot of the rioters are the same ones who caused the stampedes when many stores open on Black Friday.
I noticed Texas isn’t on that list.
Very well put I must say. 5 million Hispanics get to move to the front of the gimmedat lines thanks to a halfbreed Indonesian that lied his way into office.
Frankly if they are too dumb to figure it out, so be it.
Seriously? (All other comments have been self-edited to forstall any possible offensive language.)
YOU’D be arrested if you stood up in public and told people to ‘riot’. That is irresponsible and inflammatory. No mature or sane adult does that kind of thing and no government can allow it.
THAT is why there are laws on the books to protect law abiding citizens from people like this who for whatever reason, think it is OK to incite discord.
I am certain that is not legal. Why do the authorities and the MSM behave AS IF is it OK?
I’d like to dedicate this song to Al from the great state of Texas:
