As any responsible Governor would, Cuomo has been front & center during the past week's snow event in WNY... He's participated in a number of press conferences with local leaders (although flying b/w Buffalo & Albany – NOT staying here "shoveling" as some would lead to believe).

This recent campaign against the Weather Service and new Agency setup is quite suspect under the circumstances; forecasts weren't that far off, precise squall total are unpredictable and many of his claims are outright untrue. Simply put, it smacks of another power play by Il Douche in the State, this time towards the GW/Environmental crowd.

The NWS knows that have a problem and are working on it. The main problem is that there is not enough computing power in their supercomputer to look further than 3 days in the future and some built-in biases are hard-coded to reduce processing time. That is why the Euro model kicks the GFS(NWS Model) snowstorm after snowstorm here on the East Coast. This is one of the reasons Sandy was so bad, most local news stations use the GFS model and it completely missed the forecast until right before it happened, while the Euro had been screaming for 2 weeks about that storm track.

Back to the here and now, last year the NWS got funding to build a new supercomputer and are in process of putting it online. I don’t think it is fully operational yet, but some data is coming out for this winter’s storms.

Guess they should listen and watch Fox 8 News out of Cleveland, Ohio. Andre Bernier and Dick Goddard are the only guys around with the experience to predict ‘lake effect’ snow beyond the .....’expect significant accumulation.’

The man is a raging idiot.

This same stupid son of a bitch got up in front of a bunch of reporters the other day and ranted that all of the people who were stuck in their cars on the Thruway would be ticketed once this was over. (I wonder if he meant the ones that died there, too?)

Hey stupid little Andy: The Thruway is a STATE run road that is a TOLL road. Nobody could get on it if you didn’t let them through the toll gates!

Having your own weather service won’t do anything to protect you from doing and saying stupid things like this again because:

Andy boy, you are a raging idiot.

SEND OUT THE PLOWS
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
{By Rep. Chris Collins’ cousin- Judy}

Ain’t it a b!tch? Does anyone care?
Five feet of snow on the ground… more in the air.
Where are the plows?

We’re getting blitzed... tons to remove
Car wheels spinning around – nothing can move
Where are the plows? There ought to be plows.

Just when I could open the doors
Finally thinking the plow I expected was yours
Clearing the roads again with the usual flair
Sure as sh!t, though – no one is there.

Don’t you love pols? Our fault, I fear
We thought that they want what we want… sorry, my dear
But where are the plows? Send out the plows!
Don’t bother – {your contractor’s} here.

(EPILOGUE)
Sonuvabich... why’m I still here?
Losing my mind & my hair no more career.
But where are the plows? There ought to be plows!
Well, maybe .... next year.

So forcast the snow to the exact inch and hour; so what. What are your going to do about it? Snow falls like crazy in that area, always has and so long as lake Erie is there, it always will. It did this in same thing in winter of 1964-65. Passenger trains were stopped in their tracks.

Back in the old Daze, the plows were just out 24/7 with constructions firms contracted to use road graders and front end loaders as required.

It's been snowing and blowing every Winter in W. NYS for quite a while.

There were also rotary blowers that could be deployed from the yards as needed. The NYS Thruway ran convoys behind plow teams to keep traffic moving.

Now Prince Andrew of Albany can employ his own weathermen who will tell him anything he wants to hear: “Global warming causes 6 feet of snow?” Sure thing sire! “Guns cause snow storms but Democrats can outlaw guns so there is no problem!” anything else sire?
