Breitbart News Executive Chairman Steven K. Bannon asked the congresswoman, who was a guest on Breitbart News Saturday Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, Has there been any firm commitment from the leadership of the Republican party saying that this amnesty is not going to happen? Bachmann replied with a question, Do you want the truth? Okay, Ill tell all of Breitbart listeners what happened this week. I was floored!
In the weekly meeting called Republican Conference in the House of Representatives, we all knew that the big issue for the week was going to be the president announcing his amnesty, she explained. Bachmann recounted that all of the leadership went to the microphone, including John Boehner.
They acted as though the amnesty issue wasnt even an issue. They said that the President is going to do what hes going to do, and we are not going to get down in the mud with him. We are not going to engage, and what we are going to do is to talk about our positive solutions on jobs, the economy, education, and manufacturing, Bachmann said.
She added that each congressman who spoke reiterated that not engaging Obama and staying positive was a brilliant strategy.
"We will not engage," she reiterated with disgust.

If it doesnt exist in the Federal Register it doesnt exist, period.
No. You didn't address my post.
Obama is doing an unconstitutional "Executive Action". In other words he is going to take action not based on a law and NOT based on an EO.
You are being played.
(((shrug)))
Coward.
When all else fail, call them names!!
Good thinking...That will show um.
ping
Congress of cowards.
Sorry worthless bastards!
I read you post that and I hope you’re right.
If there isn’t one though, he could sign one any time so we best not let down our guard.
Perhaps it was a trial balloon. When he sees the R’s have no reaction, he’ll plow ahead. I imagine him seeing the RINO cowards being re-elected to leadership emboldened him. He could just be waiting to see if they keep playing dead.
On another note, if he didn’t sign an EO, why didn’t Bachmann or others say so? certainly congress critters would have just as much info as you found out?
It’s because nothing has changed.
Because of Art III of the Constitution, States can go directly to the Supreme Court. Congress can't do that. They go to district court and through the process.
The States would be on an unlawful EO like a hen on a june bug.

He has to have an EO to enact an unlawful amnesty.
He is no closer to amnesty today than he was a month ago.
He was 'not deporting' illegals for a long time. Nothing has changed.

The Obamacare executive orders are the same issue, executive overreach. If Republicans successfully argue against Obama’s executive orders on healthcare, they can take up the executive overreach on immigration because the two issues are tied together intentionally. The immigration order was designed to make non-citizens eligible for 0-care subsidies.
Yes, a distraction, designed to complicate and make more difficult the killing of the 0-care subsidies.
Obama will argue that the subsidies must go to all immigrants in all states, not just those with State exchanges.
Obama didn't use an EO to make changes to Obamacare. He has made 24 changes to Obamacare using an unconstitutional so-called "Administrative Action".
He is no closer to amnesty today than he was a month ago.
Obama didn't announce those unlawful changes to Obamacare in a speech. He just did them. That's the danger we face about amnesty.
And they say, go out and vote and vote Republican no matter what, that will fix things when we get both houses of Congress.
Boy sure looks like the fix is in, good job everyone.
Voting will fix nothing. That box has been used up
Loosen the tin foil. There is no difference today on immigration from what there was a month ago, except a working group that one of his memos formed.
He's been 'not deporting' people for a long time.

Sorry you are incorrect.
Please review Executive Orders: Issuance, Modification,
and Revocation

and get back to me.
The States can go directly to the Supreme Court for Original Jurisdiction. Congress can't do that.
So they are not the same thing.
