In a move that appears to be calculated to pacify rioters who have promised violence if Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson is not indicted for his role in the shooting death of Michael Brown, the Ferguson Grand Jury has announced that they have been unable to come to an agreement on the indictment
The grand jury left the justice center in St. Louis, Missouri, late Friday without having reached a decision on whether to indict Wilson who reportedly shot a robbery suspect, Michael Brown, when Brown attacked the officer.
Since the shooting, the St. Louis suburb has endured mass riots and looting. Many groups, including the Black Panthers, have promised violence if Wilson is not indicted for having shot the black teenager in August.
Autopsy reports support Wilsons account and Ferguson has been bracing for mass violence in recent days as the grand jury has been expected to hand down a refusal to indict. However, with the near-constant threat of mass violence looming, it may be that the grand jury has bowed to the threats of violence and property damage that would devastate their community and have been unable to come to an agreement.
President Obama spoke on Friday about the escalating situation in Ferguson:
This is a country that allows everybody to express their views, allows them to peacefully assemble, to protest actions that they think are unjust, Obama told ABC News. But using any event as an excuse for violence is contrary to rule of law and contrary to who we are.
Obama was apparently unaware of the irony of his lecturing on the value of the rule of law on the same day that he signed an executive order granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants without Congressional approval.
Son of Obama very unhappy.
Close! That's my mother-in-law!
;-)
Orcs..lol
That’s what my high schoolers and his Copenhagen Long Cut posse call them..
Fitting
National Guard drills on weekends.
LMAO!!!!!!
I am leaning more to the weekend also for the timing of release.
I would be very surprised if this continues to be delayed.
Question is: why stop and vote now?
There’s no time limit.
This is sound tactics.
First off, the unrest is being driven by professional agitators from all over the country and all over the world even. As it is for all professionals working on the road, it is very expensive and tedious for professional agitators and community organizers to be onsite for any length of time.
On the other hand, these professional community organizers and revolutionaries are total a**holes and jerks who care nothing for the poor ignorant cannon fodder pawns they are manipulating and inciting.
The longer this drags on the bigger drag they become to deal with and the more they alienate the natives
The constant getting the natives riled up for action and then having the natives be let down when no decision on indictment is given diffuses the anger and de motivates the natives.
The Ferguson situation is being driven by Saul Alinsky acolyte community organizers from the radical Chicago team and their allies in the Holder DOJ and the Obama White House, including the Community Organizer in Chief, President Obama himself.
As Alinsky said himself with Rule 7
RULE 7: A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Dont become old news. (Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and involved, organizers are constantly coming up with new tactics.)
Seems someone in the Prosecutors office has read Alinsky too
And while Alinsky’s Rule # 6
RULE 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. Theyll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. Theyre doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones. (Radical activists, in this sense, are no different that any other human being. We all avoid un-fun activities, and but we revel at and enjoy the ones that work and bring results.)
certainly applies because Holders people have proven that they sure do love to loot and riot, it's getting colder and the opposition is getting wise to their tricks and is putting plans in place to make looting more dangerous and less profitable and rioting less fun and easy to get way with which makes things a whole lot more of a drag in a situation that is already dragging on
No the question is why such a stupid misleading headline. It is not possible for the Grand Jury to “fail to make a dicision”. In Mo. there is no such thing as a “hung” grand jury.
They hear the evidence. When they have all the evidence, then they vote. Nine votes to indict is what it takes. Any thing less than nine means a no bill is issued.
The Grand Jury will vote when they hear the evidence. An announcement, which is up to the local authorities as to when, would be nice to have when the weather is cold and the schools etc. are already closed.
The locals are not the ones everyone is concerned about. It is the communists, Black Panthers, Occupy Thugs, and the KKK - same old SOBs different decade. And don’t forget, SEIU has been very visible too.
They'll have to compete with holiday plans and football for attention on Thursday, and trying to disrupt Black Friday shoppers is a good way to get trampled and run over.
Actually there are time limits. A grand jury was impaneled in May for 4 months to hear whatever cases need to be heard. This GJ term should have been over already but was extended till Jan. 7, 2015 because of this case.
I am not sure how many extensions can be granted.
Have to wonder if they’re not waiting until Wednesday to announce.
They’ll have to compete with holiday plans and football for attention on Thursday, and trying to disrupt Black Friday shoppers is a good way to get trampled and run over.
I think you are correct.
At it’s heart, Ferguson is battle for public opinion and having a bunch rioters and looters disrupting the nations Thanks Giving Holiday is going to make sure that Americans are totally pissed off the rioters.
Don’t forget the communists, SEIU, Black Panthers, Occupy Thugs, and KKKs. Pretty much the same ones that were trying to start a civil war between the races in the 60s.
Hah...just a different way of saying he was NOT indicted.
heh. This could be an interesting dodge. Simply keep not-reaching-a-decision, forever.
I guess you’ve probably read far enough by now to see that this was a case of a bad headline and sloppy reporting. All the GJ did was go home for the weekend without coming to a decision, and will reconvene Monday.
No story there, just bad reporting.
I think it’s going to come tomorrow. There’s no school for the kids on Monday and people have time to decide whether or not they want to venture out on Monday if all h*** is breaking loose. If I lived there, I would not want to be heading to and from work or another destination while riots are going on. People need to stay home and protect their homes and families. Remember Reginald Denny.
I don’t think it would be good to announce it any time from next Wed. through Sun. when people have holiday plans to be out and about and businesses are hoping to have high traffic. Too much vulnerability.
Law enforcement cannot continue to be on high alert indefinitely, people cannot continue living their lives on hold, and businesses cannot afford to be boarded up during the most profitable weeks of the year.
They need to get this thing over with - the sooner the better. I vote for tomorrow.
The GJ could have already voted on this case, and is reconvening on Monday to hear evidence on another case entirely.
All sorts of events could have happened, or not. But the story this thread is based on was simply sloppy reporting and a misleading headline.

Doesn’t say the decision hasn’t been reached yet, just that it won’t be made pubic before Monday.
If the decision has been made, I truly hope it’s announced at a time when people will not be put at risk while going about their daily lives. In such an unstable and unpredictable environment, people need to be given the opportunity to stay home until a semblance of order is restored.
“In a move that appears to be calculated to pacify rioters...”
Burn your liberal sh*tholes to the ground, you apes.
I. DON’T. CARE.
