The GOP Reaction to Obama's Immigration Order Will Be Way More Damaging Than They Realize
New Republic ^ | Nov 21, 2014 | Noam Scheiber

"There are several reasons why Obama’s executive action on immigration has put Republicans in a terrible bind. There’s the fact that conservatives are likely to respond by demanding a hardline position from the party’s 2016 nominee, torpedoing his or her electability. There’s the growing risk that conservative anger will force Republicans to do something epically stupid in the near term, like shut down the government...."

This will not be undone. The RINO leadership wanted amnesty and now they have it with none of the blame.

Imagine what will happen if a Republican Congress tries to undo amnesty, a "gift" bestowed by benevolent King Zero on his unwashed subjects.

The illegals believe that they are owed this, that amnesty is their right.

Do you think that la raza, mecha, maldef, seiu, CRS of the DOJ will just say "Oh, darn?

Think the LA riots nationwide on crack

I think a candidate running on a do-over of Operation Wetback would win in a landslide.

The idea that Republicans will become more unpopular by standing for enforcing the laws is a lie.

“Obama is breaking NO Law , he just reads the speech and then expects the Stupid Minions below him to do all the Law breaking”

Exactly, he hasn’t done a damn thing except to say he wouldn’t deport many illegals and he ALREADY has been “NOT DEPORTING MANY ILLEGALS”. GIVEN THE SCRUTINY THEY WILL BE UNDER, Barry’s subservient Bureaucrats will not likely begin to engage in inappropriate/illegal activity such as a mass issuance of Social Security Cards/numbers. Those civil servants care too much for their salaries and pensions to risk them.

Th new Republican Congress can begin to take a RIFLE SHOT approach to defanging/defunding the Emperor by going after specific targets. Put FIRM border control measures up for a vote and see how many ‘RATS up for reelection in 2016 vote against them. There will be enough FEARFUL ‘RATS that will vote for these targeted measures purely out of fear that Obama’s vetoes may well be overridden in many cases.

McConnell and Boehner should do an approach similar to the one REID followed; specifically allow measures that cast Republicans in a favorable light (and ‘RATS who vote against the measures to be in an unfavorable light) to come up for a vote but DON’T ALLOW the measures/amendments that the ‘RATS want to come up for a vote. Turn about is fair play.

I’m hoping that the 2015 class of the Republican caucus is smart (i.e., conservative) for a change.

That is for sure. Obama and the ‘RATS are acting from a position of weakness and desperation. They are trying to panic and stampede Republicans. WE MUST NOT NOW BE DEFEATIST AND FEARFUL, WE HOLD ALL THE CARDS, and the ‘RATS know it. Let’s play OUR game and not be manipulated into playing the ‘RATS game. Obama is “cornered”, let’s keep him cornered and keep him dancing to OUR tune. Let’s not fall for the ‘RATS tricks and manipulation and start doing foolish things.

I’m seeing too much panic, fear and defeatism among my fellow FReepers.
