PERRY SAYS SUING OBAMA ADMIN OVER AMNESTY A "VERY REAL POSSIBILITY" (Where is the EO?)

AUSTIN, Texas -- "It's a very real possibility" that the state of Texas would file a lawsuit to block President Barack Obama's plan to enact sweeping immigration reforms by executive order, said Texas Governor Rick Perry in a speech at the Republican Governors Association's (RGA) annual meeting in Boca Raton, Florida on Wednesday. Obama is scheduled to unveil his plans in a prime time speech on Thursday evening, to allow millions of illegal immigrants to avoid deportation by what is known as "deferred action," a move that was also strongly opposed by the other Republican Governors at the meeting, leading to immigration dominating the discussions on the first full day of the RGA's event, as reported by the AP. Other governors in attendance, including Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wisconsin) and Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-Louisiana), agreed with Perry that a lawsuit would be an appropriate response to Obama's executive order.

Perry's successor, Governor-elect Greg Abbott, took a similarly critical stance against the President's plan in an appearance on Fox News Channel's The O'Reilly Factor, saying that Obama did not have the legal authority to waive immigration laws for millions of people at once.

As Breitbart Texas' Kristin Tate reported, Abbott has vowed to file suit in federal court "as soon as possible" after Obama signs his executive order. "We are prepared to assert legal action against the President because we believe that what the President is doing is completely unconstitutional," said Abbott. "He has a legal obligation to enforce the laws, [and] immigration is assigned by the Constitution to the United States Congress to determine, not the President."

General Dynamics Board Selects James S. Crown to be Lead Director

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – The board of directors of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has selected James S. Crown, 56, to serve as lead director. Crown’s service as lead director will begin on May 5, 2010. He is the board’s first lead director, filling a position that was created in February.

Crown is the longest-serving member of the General Dynamics’ board, having been a director since 1987. He is president of Henry Crown and Company of Chicago, Ill. He also serves as a director of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and Sara Lee Corporation.

An Illinois investor whose core wealth comes from huge military contractor General Dynamics, Crown is worth with his family $4 billion, according to Forbes. He also owns stakes in the Chicago Bulls and various hotels and ski resorts.

He and his family have been extremely generous to Obama. Lester’s son James bundled $500,000 or more for the Obama presidential campaign. James and his wife chipped in another $100,000 for the inauguration. Ex-San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro (Obama appointee to head HUD) refused to agree that members of violent gangs should be deported before they commit crimes while participating in gang activities.

“I believe in ensuring that America is free of folks that have committed violent crimes,” Castro, who received national attention as a speaker at the Democratic National Convention, told Rep. J. Randy Forbes, R-Va., during the 2013 House Judiciary Committee hearing on immigration reform. “With regard to the hypothetical,” Castro also said, “I readily concede that I’m not in law enforcement, I’m not a technical expert in that regard.”

Cong Forbes explained that he was asking about the issue in light of a rape that took place in which the accused perpetrator could not have been deported due to having protected status.

“The country’s thrust up to this point in fighting gang activity is wait until they kill somebody, hurt somebody or rape somebody and then go after them,” Forbes said in 2005 when he “introduced a bill that would allow the government to deport aliens and immigrants who are not permanent residents of the United States and belong to criminal gangs,” The Washington Times reported.

GUATEMALA CITY (Reuters) - The United States should provide billions of dollars to help Central American nations curb the flow of illegal migrants, Guatemalan President Otto Perez said, and his government warns the problem will get worse if Washington fails to help.

Fleeing violence, trying to reach relatives already in the United States or seeking jobs, record numbers of child migrants from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador have been stopped at the southern U.S. border this year, causing widespread alarm. Last month, the three countries pitched Washington an ambitious development plan to confront the issue.

They want to pump about $10 billion into the region to create jobs and lift living standards, with the bulk of funding coming from the United States, Perez told Reuters. He hopes the plan could come up with about $2 billion a year from 2015 to 2019, a sum he equated to roughly 10 percent of annual U.S. spending on border security and immigration enforcement.

"Now we understand it's not simply a question of the United States saying: 'Right, here's $2 billion a year for five years' for example - the governments of the three countries have to play their part too," the conservative Perez, who took power in early 2012, said in an interview late on Monday.

The US aid package would boost infrastructure and provide more jobs in all three countries, especially in areas that send large numbers of migrants to the United States, he added.

The three Central American governments are urging the United States to shoulder the lion's share of the costs, arguing that U.S. demand for illegal narcotics has fueled violence among drug gangs across much of the impoverished region.

"The United States has to support this, it has no other option," Guatemala's foreign minister, Carlos Morales, told Reuters. "If they don't support it, the crisis will kick off again, you can count on it."

Perez said he hoped the United States would put up about 60 percent of funding. "But we'll have to discuss it calmly and see what each individual country can do, and what can be achieved by common consent."

During meetings in New York in September, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told Central American officials he hoped Congress could approve about $300 million in funding, Morales said, noting the sum was "nothing" given the scale of the problem.

GUATEMALA NEWS REPORT TRANSLATION--- Minors in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras will receive refugee status in the United States as of December, according to a plan announced by the country's vice president, Joe Biden, of the US capital plan (a week before Obama's E/O).

WASHINGTON DC -The presidents Otto Perez Molina, of Guatemala; Salvador Sanchez Ceren, in El Salvador, and Juan Orlando Hernandez of Honduras, welcomed the news that VP Biden gave at the forum "Investing in Central America: creating opportunities for growth", organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

VP Biden said that parents who are legal in the US, who live in the northern triangle of Central America, and have not tried to travel illegally to the north may request refugee status for their children .

Biden said: "This will provide alternatives to this dangerous journey that children sometimes start but do not finish. He is nursing safely and correctly. Do not forget that what we do at the end of the day is about dignity, it's about watching a child in the eye and tell him that everything will be fine."

Agencies reported after more requirements to qualify for this plan, as that will cover under 21 and unmarried, who must pass a strict process in their country of origin, with interviews and other requirements to enter the United States as refugees and reunite with their families.

The comments in the above thread could be accurate.

We don’t have the text of the EO yet and Abbott’s office is on record as saying they will file in court as soon as possible after the EO is signed.

Pay close attention to Jane Long’s link to the Fox News report because I detect something that ties to the CARDS that is very concerning and is very characteristic of what Obama would do:

In the above Fox News link it is written that:

“During a 15-minute primetime speech Thursday, Obama said his administration will start accepting applications from illegal immigrants who seek the deferred actions.”

and:

“Those who qualify will be granted protections for three years, Obama said, as he laid out his sweeping plan to the public Thursday night from the East Room of the White House.”

Obama will start having information via application gathered on the illegals and this information can be used for the CARDS.

Further, Obama is granting only THREE years of reprieve to the illegals, why? I am guessing he is going to give his Community Organizers (now Community Service Officers) a short time to register the illegals to vote and that they better be voted for the democrat in 2016 else their legal status could be jeopardized in 2017.

The bottom line is that Abbott’s office needs to file SOON with or without the EOs to stop the CARDS via Temporary Federal Restraining Order or Preliminary Federal Injunction. These Federal Court Orders are not difficult to obtain as Abbott has standing in his position as Texas Attorney General or as Governor of Texas. And these orders can delay the CARDS for at least a year and possibly two.
