President Obama's announcement tonight may bring a “constitutional crisis,” in the words of Rep. Mike Simpson (R-ID), but Republicans in Congress haven't the damndest idea what they'll do about it.
As they departed the House floor, many en route to the airport for a Thanksgiving recess, many GOP lawmakers seemed as interested in explaining why options floated by colleagues from their own party wouldn't work as denouncing what they describe as an unprecedented power grab by a president they just decimated at the ballot box.
“That's the hundred million dollar question,” said Rep. Pat Tiberi (R-OH), “How do you stop an inaction? That's the tough question that I don't have the answer to today....Just to go a step further: 'shut the government down.' That doesn't stop this inaction. Don't fund immigration service. That doesn't stop this inaction. How do you stop this inaction?”

That too but based on their actions in supporting people hostile to conservatism, they are every bit the evil the democrats are. The incoming GOP majority could announce plans to hold hearings on O’s birth certificate. Serious hearings, by people dedicated to getting the truth. The WH could stonewall, but a well publicized set of hearings, accompanied by the threat of going after accomplices and enablers, might get results. If it can be proved that he is not eligible, then nothing he signed is legitimate, or has the force of law. Of course, this would require political courage. Does this exist in the new majority?
Boehner filed a lawsuit today. That isn’t allowing things to slide.
The GOP (GIVE OBAMA POWER party) fled
because they HAD a plan:
EMPOWER THE TYRANT and remain EXEMPT to the “Laws”
they pass only for their worthless dhimmis, below them.
Boehner used a lawyer he KNEW would lose
while ignoring what the Constitution says to do.

Because Boehner is an Obama supporter.

There are plenty of things the GOP can do in January, that are impossible to do right now: Close the border; ending automatic citizenship; and the Visa changes are all good suggestions.
I’ve read several articles that say the public is livid and is lighting up the phones to Congress. This is really a good idea .. and we should also be calling THEIR LOCAL OFFICES - SINCE MOST OF THEM ARE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS.
After the last election, I think it’s only fair to take a little while before judging what they will or will not do.
I know McConnell said he was going to CRUSH the Tea Party, but he has to know that it was the Tea Party who gave them their HUGE victory. Because of this, I think they can be pushed in the right direction .. but we have to keep after them; continue lighting up their phones; keep reminding them that without the Tea Party .. they would not be in power right now .. they’ll hate that .. but I think it’s okay to let them know .. we were willing to vote for some of the GOPe .. IN ORDER TO WIN THE ELECTION.
SO NOW, WE HAVE A LEVER .. AND IF WE PRESS THE LEVER CORRECTLY, WE CAN GET THE RESULTS WHICH WILL MOST BENEFIT OUR COUNTRY.

Just because they’re not telling you what the plan is .. doesn’t mean they don’t have a plan.
I’ve been paying attention. You’ll see that I’m right. Okay, maybe they’ll sue Obama for not granting amnesty to every illegal. You know, similar to suing him for delaying the employee mandate.

How many times have you called the LOCAL office of your congressperson to voice your concern about what’s going on.
I’m guessing: NONE
So, you come on FR and all you do is complain about all the repubs .. funny thing .. I don’t hear you complaining about the dems or what they’re doing to tear this country apart.
I have my complaints too .. but only about a few. And, I do contact them on a regular basis just to let them know we see what they’re doing or not doing and why I’m concerned.
Like everybody, I’m very concerned about the path our country is taking .. but NOT ALL repubs are bad.
