Americans ignore the mass murder of students that is roiling Mexico
Chicago Tribune ^ | 11-19-14 | Ruben Martinez

The violent disappearance of 43 students from a rural teachers college in Guerrero state has caused a political earthquake the likes of which Mexico has not seen in generations — perhaps even since the revolution of 1910. After shooting six students and wounding several others, witnesses said, police handed the remaining 43 over to a local drug gang, Guerreros Unidos, to finish the job.

Its tough, especially for older Americans, who've never known anything but opportunity and expectations of an even brighter future, to imagine that their formerly high standard of living is now in mortal danger. They think that while people may languish elsewhere the good times will roll on here forever.

They need to understand that destroying their standard of living is the specific goal of this administration and the foreigner who calls himself president. And he's well on his way to accomplishing it.

Americans ignoring violence in Mexico? It’s our business because??? We have our hands full just trying to keep up with the illegal invasion and violence here. Fix your own problems.

The *ssholes in the media just can't write a headline without indicting Americans can they.

Especially when the mainstream media rarely reports on the problems of Mexico. Funny that the America Soviet Media would admonish their own audience for the very knowledge vacuum that the ASM creates.

"I am wondering if Mexico is going to have a revolution? They’re seriously overdue for it...

Seriously, they never finished their last one; they just ran out of bullets. The conflicts that existed in 1910 were never resolved and plague Mexico to this day.

I read an article on FR yesterday by some idiot who wrote that California was really part of Mexico because Mexican culture so dominated there. Right away I knew that simpleton had never been to Mexico and knew nothing of its culture aside from what he thought he saw in California.

These are people who want to retire but can’t afford to; they know something’s wrong (they’re the same kind bitching about all the darker foreigners around, because it wasn’t like that before), but they don’t see it as related to anything political.

It’s not our problem, it’s none of our business, and there is nothing we should do about it.

How many students have been killed in Chicago this year? Clean up your own cesspool before giving advice to others.

Would a candlelight vigil help?

Sure, if you also had a hashtag campaign.

***We seem to ignore a lot of barbaric murder in Mexico.***

Forty six years ago when Bobby Kennedy was murdered, it was pointed out in a letter to the editor of a magazine that more people were murdered in MEXICO with knives than with guns in the USA.
The editor replied that it was because of the cult of MACHO in Mexico and we had nothing to worry about in the USA.

Well, now it is here.

Unless it’s personal, nothing will happen. If it was in Mexico City, maybe they would do something. We have the unborn being sacrificed every day, about 3000? The only time in recent memory Americans got out of the house was for the tea party because it hurt.
