President Obamas looming executive action on immigration reform represents a Fort Sumter-type moment, according to conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly.
Fort Sumter, of course, is the sea fort in Charleston, South Carolina. It was there the opening shots of the U.S. Civil War were fired on April 12, 1861.
Schlafly at first considered comparing the Obama amnesty to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, but decided that Obamas plan is much more subtle.
With Pearl Harbor, the American people knew what was happening, she said.
But Fort Sumter represented the beginning of a ruinous war, and Schlafly, like fellow conservative luminary Richard Viguerie, speculates that an executive amnesty might touch off a sort of modern-day conflagration.

NEWT: This is the most dangerous thing Ive seen an American president do since Buchanan failed to defend Constitution
We have some close friends who have immigrated from Russia. Apparently Russia, under Putin, is swinging back toward a totalitarian state. If not full blown communism, at least back toward a very harsh and frightening statism, with KGB coming back into power. It breaks their hearts to see their countrymen who had a taste of freedom for a few years, and are now giving it back to a KGB dicator.
It doesn’t matter if an economic/political philosophy “works” or not, if you don’t have people who desire freedom and are educated on what it takes to have and hold a Republic, and willing to fight to keep the ever present evil greedy power hungry thieves from taking over.
Yep, Civil War not that far away
Hmmm
I really think that’s what the ObaMaos want. Why else are they giving “tanks” to police departments and buying tons of ammo?
CWII ping?
BTW, I was yorkiemom here, but since my move out of Mexifornia to a rural self-sufficient lifestyle is imminent, I wanted a screen name reflecting that. I hope to encourage more to do the same and be ready!
See my tagline

Bump
I understand that this is the "strategy," but it's obviously insane. On the one hand Cloward-Piven wants to completely discredit and destroy the people's trust in the government, and then after they've accomplished that and everything's in a state of total collapse they want the people to - wait for it - trust the government!
It's so obviously insane only a really smart person who spent their life in an ivory tower could possibly believe it.
Thanks for adding me! ;)
I agree with much of what you say, but I don't think we'll lose millions of people. Why? Look at the other side. Who are they? They are anarchic inner city ghetto types, wussified Pajama Boys, suburban pro-abort soccer moms, college professors, urbanite professionals who've never left the city. Who are we? We're the stackers of wheat, frackers of natural gas, drivers of trucks. Most of the military veterans are with us.
That's why Obama chickened out and ran away from the Cliven Bundy standoff. They know in their hearts that if it comes down to it we'll brush them off without breaking a sweat.
The big problem that we have is that we still cling to the idea that we should obey the law of the land, even when the law of the land has been subverted by traitors. What needs to happen is Red State Governors and legislatures simply nullify federal laws. Just say no. If we all do it - kick out all illegals sending them to San Francisco where Fancy Nancy can tend to them, for example - then the feds will chicken out and run like bullies always do when faced with a little determined armed resistance.
It's really our doing. We need to let go of the good ol' YOU ESS of A. We need to understand that we've lost both coasts. They're gone. There are very few Americans (as that word was always understood) living there now. All we need to do is admit that to our innermost selves and then act accordingly.
And we will be free of these Democrat scum once and for all.
“BHO is planning to pull the trigger on MEXICAN REVOLUTION DAY (Nov 20 2014)”
Nope.
We’re missing something about his plans.
Civil war is a bad thing and is only acceptable when the alternative is even worse. Of course, the alternative is living under an Obama dictatorship.
Prayer is only half of our responsibility.
America will lose a lot of people if we have a civil war. The real question is how many good people we will lose, and there will be a lot of them if Obama provokes a war. The other side will lose far more, but war will be shockingly ugly.
Can you imagine cutting ties to DC? Your state throwing the Federal Boot off of your neck? Nirvana.
“When people have nothing left to lose, they lose it!”
My state? I live in the People's Republic of Maryland, one of the biggest of big government states. I'm here for family reasons after retiring from political polling, but I'd move to The Lone Star Republic faster than you can say "freedom" if they either seceded or expelled the socialist states (or even just the big-government-communist districts) from the Union. Personally, I like the idea of expulsion.
Civil war is what 0bama could very well be agitating towards as the next power grab. The one big thing that continues to hold up 0bamas power is the deceptive lame stream media. If a civil war breaks out I hope the LSM gets their comeuppance as well.

That thought was covered very well in the essay referenced by the above post.
