A former Colorado jail officer has been arrested and charged with murdering his wife, three years after local detectives allegedly covered up evidence of his crime and ruled her death a suicide - even though she was shot in the back of the head.
Ashley Fallis' family never believed the 28-year-old mother of three had killed herself and they campaigned for three years for police in Evans, Colorado, to reopen the case and investigate whether her husband, Tom Fallis, was responsible for the New Years Day 2012 shooting.
Fallis, 34, was arrested today in Bloomington, Indiana, where he had been living with the couple's three young children after fleeing Colorado. He will be extradited back to Colorado to stand trial.

A local woman died in a gas fueled house fire. She was found on the couch. It was determined the gas was poured around her body on the couch, and then the fire lit. Yup, ruled suicide and that she poured the gas and laid down. The children had told at school that day that the parents had been fighting and were going to get a divorce.
“Mr Joseph (a reporter) uncovered shocking evidence that was either ignored or left out of a police report by Evans police officer Michael Yates. Yates was later cleared of criminal charges by an independent investigation, but still faces an internal review, according to the Denver Fox affiliate.”
Yep when forced they finally arrested the murderer, but the accessory after the fact to murder Yates apparently will skate. So again you can not trust them to investigate their own at any point.
Depends, the ones that process the people arrested are sheriff’s here in my county. Once you get into the county jail those are not.
Cops.
Never trust them.
Some officer does that to me, and he’d have to watch his back .... forever.
Crazy story, but believable, in light of some of these other stories about obvious murders being labeled suicides... I believe this one is about saving face for their department. Total CYA.
Given some of the experiences my friends have had, and what I have read online, that seems to be the case. :-/
And I’m betting some of the “Arkancide” murders were covered up by Arkansas state troopers. We heard the stories, about Clinton using his troopers to procure women, and even hiding the rape of Kathleen Willey, but the public didn’t want to believe them.
Think about this: The guy’s 6 year old daughter TOLD people that she saw her Father shoot her Mother. She has been forced to live with this murderer for THREE YEARS because of this coverup.
Can you imagine the horror of that?
Would that be considered “accessory”?
I thought he might be charged with obstruction, since Yates aapparently withheld crucial evidence to this murder.
Terrible, the guy’s a monster.
And detective Yates knew that, as well as ignore dozens of eye witnesses, even the neighbors who heard this cop say he shot his wife.

The Thin Blue Lie.
“Yup, those Hero types are all upright and upstanding. Most of them are great, honest, family guys that do not and will not cover for their occasional filthy co-worker. They just want to get home to their families after their honorable shift of upholding justice. Yup.”
Yup. Just ask Nifster.
And people wonder why Ferguson is a powder keg? While enough is out that I would clear the cop, it is obvious only fools would trust they system to investigate cops.
Cop logic. Create a nightmare of near zero accountability. Then complain and blame the public for the lack of trust and respect toward law and LE. “You’re all just criminals. That’s why you hate us.” It can’t possibly be their corruption.
Apparently accessory and obstruction are basically the same thing in terms of facts, though accessory after the fact is felony and obstruction can be a misdemeanor in Colorado according the web.
This is the reporter who exposed the cover up/ omission of evidence:

Go to two minutes in, an eye witness (next door neighbor) heard her husband confessing to his parents that he shot his wife, and the detective Yates ignored this witness. At the very best, this detective is incompetent, more likely, he’s complicit in a cover up. And then the department covers up for the detective, and so it goes.

We need to regulate this internet QUICKLY.
Actually, it was a local reporter who broke the cover up. But it is interesting how we get much better coverage by foreign press isn’t it? Reminds me of the Russian RT media outlet; they do a great job of reporting anything that doesn’t involve Russian government. Putin however, can do no wrong in the eyes of RT.

You really are a piece of work. Apparently logic is not your strong suit.
