He claims there was a thorough debate on the issue.
I seem to recall one of their leaders saying that "we need to pass the bill to see what is in it"

Gruber: Politically, you just literally cannot do
transparent financing, transparent spending. I mean, this bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If the CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies. So it was written to do that.
Obama: (11/16/14) “And I think its fair to say there was not a provision in the healthcare law that was not extensively debated and was fully transparent.

What about the doctor I wanted to keep?
What about the plan I wanted to keep?
Where is the $2500 in annual savings?
Why am I paying for things my religion prohibits?
Keep lying, Kenyan Klownie.

How about “if you like you doctor you can keep your doctor”, or “if you like your health plan you can keep your health plan”.

If Obie backpedals any faster, he’s going to fall off the bike.
Except for his most rabid, and clueless, followers, the average citizen knows now he lied.

I remember when Obama promised that CSPAN would be allowed into Congress to monitor the debate.
As soon as he became President, Obama changed his mind. Looks like Gruber got his way on non transparency.
The normally mild mannered Brian Lamb of CSPAN was quite angry over the failed promise.
