If memory serves something like 80% of blacks voted for Hubert Humphrey over Richard Nixon. The ratio has improved for Democrats since then.
To me that was fascinating in those days of yore since the Democrat Party, in those days of yore, was the Party that embraced the Ku Klux Klan and supplied Klansmen. Heck, the most recent Klansman Senator to check out was a Democrat.
A Democrat invented the Great Society, and you could not find a more reliable program to subjugate blacks than the Great Society.
Every chance they get Democrats work overtime to saw off the rungs of the ladder that would allow blacks to climb onto the prosperity tier.
Still, blacks stampede to vote for Democrats to this day. Some pundits even like to pay lip service to the drivel that blacks have finally seen the light...as a group, that is. I'll believe it when reliable exit polling says so.
In the meantime, Democrats won't be divorcing them, but they won't do anything to help blacks or encourage blacks to help themselves. Well, that isn't exactly right. Their actions encourage blacks to help themselves. Democrat speeches, on the other hand, say blacks are fools if they try.
