A citizen's group in Portland, Oregon, said on Monday the city should drop policies allowing students to transfer public schools, saying it is making the schools less racially diverse and poorer.
"It's mostly white, mostly middle-class families, transferring out of schools that have students of color," said Kali Thorne Ladd, a member of the group which had been asked by educators to evaluate Portland Public Schools transfer policies.
These allow students to switch to schools in different neighborhoods, but they must enter a lottery if spots are limited. There is also a separate lottery system for students hoping to transfer to selective "magnet" schools which offer advanced curriculums.

You assume there are black families in the cities. While there are black people dwelling together, they are not families in the normal sense.

I read about this same crime a few days ago in anther artical only then the anther refused to identify the neighborhood and omitted that the killers actually went thou the house to riddle it with bullets. Instead they implied it was a random stray bullet that killed the girl. Talk about massive dishonesty. This was a deliberate attempt at cold blooded murder no mere accident.
I can see why people might become very angry a the politically correct dishonesty of such a reporter who tried to uses this case for gun control rather going after the cold blooded murders of this little girl.
The next avenue of complaint by liberals will be that too many conservative parents are taking their children out of public education and educating them at home where they could be taught things that liberals don’t approve of. (Subjects like critical thinking, the full history of this great country, and sexual morality. )
My large Texas city’s school district is 80% Hispanic students since most Anglo parents send their kids to private/parochial schools.
When my niece was beginning 1st grade, parents enrolled her in the nearby public school because it was a good neighborhood. They immediately found out that their daughter wasn’t just in the minority in her class, she was the ONLY white non-Hispanic child in her class. She didn’t stay more than a day or two before they found a capable school affiliated with their church.
Its not a white or black issues nobody wants to associate with people who behave like animals killing each-other.
this is the world they created for themselves and each-other.
Its quite clear that some people in theses neighborhood should be in institutions.
What has happened to this country? People talk of forcing others to do things like that is not a crime.
You cannot force me to go to school where you want just so you will have one good person who is not a criminal in your school.
You cannot force God to bless your hookup with people not scriptural eligible for marriage.
You cannot force kids to eat dogfood in the name of low-fat nutrition.

What I am doing about it is this: I am honest as the day is long, I put my children and family first, I live quietly, I vote Conservative, I attempt to convince divorcing couples not to succumb to the grass is greener syndrome, I go to work every day, I coach others to care for their children, I go to Mass regularly, I pray 24/7. Drastic changes were made to my city, Los Angeles. Most of those changes involved just a handful of people, the police chief, the City Council, union leaders and judges. I live in the San Fernando Valley, a part of Los Angeles with about 3 million people. The fact that Americans moved out of the San Fernando Valley attests to the fact that we didn’t want to live in a third world city and didn’t agree with our elected officials or the courts. What can you do about the courts?

In 1977, The California Supreme Court ordered the Los Angeles School District to come up with a plan to desegregate their schools. The school district came up with forced bussing and parents moved out of the Los Angeles School District.
It was called “White Flight”. Homes became hard to sell, apartments were hard to rent and schools started closing. Illegal aliens replaced Americans in Los Angeles. Teachers and all government employees answering to the gods of the unions turned against Americans.

Special Order 40 is a police mandate implemented in 1979 by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), its Police Chief Daryl Gates and the Los Angeles City Council preventing LAPD officers from questioning people for the sole purpose of determining their immigration status. Judge Denise Cote rules that the federal government’s zoning laws supersede local zoning laws forcing housing for the poor in all neighborhoods. This judgment means that you can no longer expect to move up to a better neighborhood with better and safer schools. Expect high density apartments to move into your neighborhood along a transportation corridor.
Isn’t that what Obama’s decision to import illegal alien children is all about, to implant the seed to an open society, free of borders, place these kids throughout the United States to places that refused to be sanctuary cities? Cities that will have to school, house and feed these kids. Government dependent kids.
His plan is to do the same with granting asylum to millions of illegal aliens, make them government dependent. You will not hear a requirement of these illegal aliens to be self-sufficient or to get an education.
Judge Denise Cote knows exactly what she is doing. She is pushing this Agenda 21 United Nations BS on us in the guise of being green. It is really a means of redistributing wealth to people that have no desire to fit in, to get an education or to even learn English. People that will work under the table so they can get all the government freebies.
What they are doing in Los Angeles now is creating streets for busses, no cars allowed. Along these bus lines they are building high-density housing against our own zoning laws. The developer is allowed to build higher if they designate one third of the housing to the poor.
These bus lines are built at surface street level on purpose to obstruct traffic. The idea behind this is to create enough traffic to where people will be forced into this high-density housing and take public transportation.
In another effort to increase traffic, the city changed their zoning laws to allow second homes on property that is over 12,000 square feet. The city is also removing lanes on our streets and turning them into bicycle paths and what they call mini-parks. They had a proposal to build a football stadium with no parking.
Our mayor ran a campaign to create high-density housing and 100 percent electric cars. Our city already owns 30,000 low income housing units and Mayor Garcetti wants 30,000 more.
Somehow I don’t think the citizens voted for this. There has to be voter fraud involved. What Judge Cote is doing is trying to make sure there is no other city to run to.
Our vote means nothing anymore. It is a judge, it only takes one, that will create the laws on immigration, abortion, voter ID, marriage, health, and our freedoms.
