Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer recently suggested that Obama’s use of executive action to grant amnesty is an “impeachable offense” designed to “abolish whole sections” of American law.
Similarly, Judge Andrew Napolitano has also stated that if Obama were to declare illegal immigrant amnesty, then those actions constitute an “impeachable offense.”
Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) has a differing viewpoint – but not for the reason you might think.
Appearing on the O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly asked Gowdy if anyone in the House of Representatives would consider impeachment.
Gowdy’s response?
“Have you met Joe Biden?”

Biden is a parody of a politician, but he can’t be worse than Obola.
Gravely incompetent for sure, but that’s a whole different thing from deliberately trying to make the US into a third world country.
Of course another reason is that “country lawyer” Gowdy is himself a supporter of Amnesty for illegal alien invaders.

OK - I hate to focus on the trivial, but this bugs me. What is it with Trey Gowdy’s hair? Everytime I see him it looks different, but it always looks weird.
Biden is an idiot. He is a Democrat.
If you never impeach a Democrat because his replacement is an idiot Democrat, you will never impeach any Democrat ever.
I like Gowdy, but on this he is making excuses for yet another failure to confront Obama effectively.
They don’t have the votes to remove him. All many of us want is a trial and vote of impeachment to put him on his heels until he’s gone.

Now Gowdy makes a flippant comment that translates, “Let’s leave Barack alone because Joe is a half-wit”?
I thought Trey was this hot-shot, “Let’s get ‘em, boys!” litigator, but all I’ve heard is a lot of talk.

But I believe he chose Biden because he was the only potential Democrat politician with national visibility that he did not feel threatened by as far as overshadowing his “gravitas”

There was a story from 2009, that Hillary had been offered the VP job, although President Obama really didn’t want her in that position (like you say...he felt threatened). Hillary eventually reviewed options and wanted a job that she could walk away after four years and concentrate on the 2016 election, so she took the state department function.
You could probably walk around the Senate and find that ninety-five of them will cast a shadow over the President between wit and knowledge.

Plus, if it were possible to remove Obama, it would be possible to stall Biden's VP pick, remove Biden, and ... swear in President Boehner (as an anticlimax)!
I wish this guy had just stuck to prosecuting. At least he did something beneficial with his life. Now he’s just an amnesty-loving wimp.
Biden is indeed preferable to Obama not that it matters because the Senate would likely never remove Obama. Doesn’t matter. Impeachment hearings should start immediately.
He basically called Biden a massive idiot incapable of tying his own shoes.
