Those benefits sound embarrassingly good. What made you cast off the golden handcuffs?
They were going to cover my health insurance for life, and I was sick of paying income taxes with my paychecks combined with my investment income. Being a very logical guy, I figured it was best to enjoy the rest of my life doing things I never had time to do. Looking back after 17 years in retirement, it was the best decision I ever made.
