Jonathan Gruber Made Over $4 Million Pimping Obamacare & Lying to “Stupid” Americans

Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber made $4 million pimping Obamacare.

** $400,000 from Health and Human Services ** $1.6 MM from other states, and that’s just four of them. ** Another $2 milion from HHS for other work.

It was a nice gig. The dude made millions because of his central role in lying to get health care passed.

Video surfaced this week of Jonathan Gruber admitting the Obama administration lied to “stupid” Americans in order to get Obamacare passed.

Jonathan Gruber made $400,000 from HHS. He also made an additional $3.6 million for consulting with states. Glenn Kessler at The Washington Post reported:

The passage of the Affordable Care Act in 2010 has been lucrative for Gruber and his microsimulation model. All told, he has been hired by at least eight states to provide advice or assist in creating the health-insurance exchanges that are at the heart of the Affordable Care Act: Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Not all of the contracts could be found on public Web sites, but here is a sampling. In some cases, Gruber worked with other consultants, so the fees were shared. These figures also might not represent the final payout, and of course these are gross figures, before expenses. But it’s safe to say that about $400,000 appears to be the standard rate for gaining access to the Gruber Microsimulation Model.

Michigan: $481,050

Minnesota: $329,000

Vermont: $400,000

Wisconsin: $400,000

Gruber has also earned more than $2 million over the last seven years for an ongoing contract with HHS to assess choices made by the elderly in Medicare’s prescription-drug plan.

I think a nice close look at the work performed vs pay might be in order.

My thoughts exactly.

Some fact checking of his analysis of the health care law (that all the dem's were touting) is in order, as well.

Dr. Gruber meet Monica Lewinsky. She can tell you all about being ostracized by fellow liberals for making a Democratic president look bad and how to deal with living with ridicule and your reputation being destroyed by your own people.

Can someone explain why this guy has not been arrested? I’m quite certain the terms of his employment by the government did not include participating and orchestrating a deliberate deception of the very taxpayers that employed him. Not only has he confessed to defrauding taxpayers but he has likely committed a long list of felonies carrying long prison sentences.

Actually, I think “Goober”, tenured professor at MIT, is the stupid one. If he thinks the American voter is so stupid, why did he have to lie and be so deceptive?

This guy will cost MIT billions in harm. I suspect he will disappear very soon. Perhaps he will be studying the pocket change economy in Ebola struck communities on the African continent as his next assignment?

......President Obama, the man who once said that “at a certain point you’ve made enough money,” reportedly also believes that there’s a point at which people have saved enough money.

“Under current rules, some wealthy individuals are able to accumulate many millions of dollars in these accounts, substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving,” the White House budget proposal says, per Talking Points Memo, while proposing a cap on retirement savings.......

How is it that Gruber isn’t wearing tar and feathers and his house, a smoldering pile of ashes ?

At this point, you’re more likely to find him at Fort Marcy Park.

Oh come now. 0bama’s skim off the top of the various bills, illegal use of AF1 and hotels for vacations and fundraising, and under the table gifts make for millions and millions.
