Sen. Mitch McConnell made a clear statement Thursday: There will be no government shutdown. The Kentucky Republican, who will take over as majority leader in January, renewed his vow not to shut down the federal government as conservatives in his party called for fighting the presidents immigration proposals through spending legislation.
Some Republicans in Congress are arguing that if President Barack Obama moves forward with his promise to sign executive orders addressing immigration, the GOP should attach language to spending bills that would undo the actions. Congress must pass a spending bill by Dec. 11 to prevent another government shutdown.
We will not be shutting the government down or threatening to default on the federal debt, McConnell said Thursday at a press conference when asked about Republican calls for attaching extra provisions to the spending bill.
What will Republicans in Congress do if Obama moves forward? Well let you know, McConnell replied.

The liberal republicans need to be fired, not voted for "one more time".

Is Mitch McConnell pro-choice?
He's proven that, with his cloture votes.
His show votes for the rubes back home let him look much more conservative than he is.
You have to pay attention to the cloture votes.

The only other choice is the democrats. You seem to give them a lot of slack in your commentaries.
Did Mitch vote for Obamacare?
One set of laws for the Exempt Ones, another for the Rest.
Keep it open, one week at a time.
See who blinks.
I do understand where you are coming from. I am there with you. I think from the polling (this time) that most people voted to say, stop business as usual and we’re afraid of Obama’s progressive agenda and rightly so to be. You have to try / they can’t say, we didn’t try and give them the power to stop the progressives.
The blame goes back long ago when the Bush and alike / those groups tore down Reagan versus building onto Reagan’s good polices. Past couple of primaries, when we had a shot of getting in a better candidate (sure, not perfect person), the base divided up it’s power - would not combine forces to beat Romney for one example out of the primaries.
Now, we can’t focus on tearing each other apart. Many people are upset to see this happening and feel helpless because they love their country. We can’t give up because we are on the right side, no matter your age or circumstances, like Jim says, don’t relent on your principles.

That is a LIE.
There are almost more than two choices on my ballots. And usually one of them is a conservative. Not republican maybe, but conservative.
You bought the lie that there are only two ways to vote. It is a lie.

Your list shows the people who are helping to
destroy our nation. The 2 from GA., crossed the dark side
which was shocking.
Bless you. I still don’t see where Mitch voted for abortion.
He allowed a vote by the liberal democrats to go forward when he could have stopped it and de-funded Obamacare. The coward isn't pro-life.
He does great show votes for the low information voters though. They think he is pro-life, when obviously he isn't.

Where oh where are the conservative apologist for their GOPE slave masters???
They didn’t even make it to actually taking the majority positions before surrendering. But alas the usual gang of enablers will be back on here shortly telling us how wonderful their slave masters in the GOPE are and how we should yet again hold our noses in 2016 and vote for these bought and paid for crooks.
These apologist motto should always be, Party before principles or death!!!
That's liberal.
He wasn't a conservative.
I will not vote for someone that is a pro-abortion, anti-gun, pro-amnesty, socialized medicine, big government liberal.

Then vote democratic then. It's what you want to do.
