Sen. Mitch McConnell made a clear statement Thursday: There will be no government shutdown. The Kentucky Republican, who will take over as majority leader in January, renewed his vow not to shut down the federal government as conservatives in his party called for fighting the president’s immigration proposals through spending legislation.
Some Republicans in Congress are arguing that if President Barack Obama moves forward with his promise to sign executive orders addressing immigration, the GOP should attach language to spending bills that would undo the actions. Congress must pass a spending bill by Dec. 11 to prevent another government shutdown.
“We will not be shutting the government down or threatening to default on the federal debt,” McConnell said Thursday at a press conference when asked about Republican calls for attaching extra provisions to the spending bill.
What will Republicans in Congress do if Obama moves forward? “We’ll let you know,” McConnell replied.

Their show votes, after they voted to allow a simple majority vote for the liberal democrats, is obviously no, their show votes were not for abortion.
They already had gotten to that goal with their cloture votes, and allowing a simple majority vote to go forward.

From the way you frame it, only republicans are liberals. And it is pie in the sky that there are only liberals who could have stopped the abortion paying Obamacare.
Many republicans are becoming or are liberals. They are the only ones I'm fighting, since they claim to be conservative.
It's possible to get rid of the liberals in ONE party, and you can't get rid of the liberals in the Dem party.
And the liberal republicans OWN Obamacare, since they could have stopped it except that they wanted it.
The Dems were going to vote for it anyway. The only ones that could have stopped it were the Pubs, and they didn't.
Don't support liberal republicans.
If you vote for a liberal republican, you ARE a liberal, just as if you had voted for a dem.

Dems are getting a little scarce on the ground in this part of Texas, but I work against them if there is a real conservative running.
I also work against republicans, like Dewhurst, if he is a liberal, and a real conservative is running against him.
It will be the same with Cornyn.

Typical. Every time conservatives show up and put them in power it takes about a month and while we are trying to advance they are waving the white flag and running away.
i said election tuesday i had no high hopes for a repub majority in thw huse and senate. they already telegraphed there’d be no fight on obamacare, or impeaching obama, or cutting executive funds, or taking back powers from alphabet agencies, nothing at all substantial to be done to the irs.
esentially they will do nothing conservatives would like to see done.
not with current rino/gop-e leadership that spends more time fighting conservatives than liberals. they have no problem going after conservatives. they won’t go after liberals.
