Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) says impeachment should be on the table if President Barack Obama moves forward with executive amnesty. Speaking with Breitbart News Wednesday evening, Jones explained that should Obama move to unilaterally legalize undocumented immigrants, it would be a constitutional issue, not an issue to be solved by restricting funding, as some Republicans have floated. To me a constitutional question means that we have the option of impeachment, Jones said, explaining that he thinks the best option to confront Obamas executive amnesty would be impeachment. We have a Constitution, and I am very disappointed from year to year that we do not follow the Constitution. To me, if you think the president has violated his trust of office, meaning with the American people, then follow the Constitution, Jones added. The North Carolina Republican is no stranger to calls for impeachment, having at varying times seen impeachment as a way to deal with Obama on Obamacare and former President George W. Bush on Iraq. He voted against the Republican resolution earlier this year to sue the President over Obamacare because he said it would be kicked out. He told The Hill at the time that impeachment would be preferable if the GOP were serious about the issue. Jones further noted that he supported a resolution from former Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) to impeach Bush over Iraq. We continue to forget that we have a constitutional responsibility, and to me, look at the constitutional responsibility first before you look at something second, Jones said to Breitbart News, then stressed that he thinks Obama is a fine person.

I wouldn’t put it past Boehner to get Walter Jones to be the one to suggest this. Because if crazy Walter Jones ‘leads’ it, that means it will most definitely NOT rally the troops.
no no - I said it was a good idea. I would rather someone else join in than Jones. I mean, Jones is Jones and he’s said what he’s said and taken the positions he’s taken.
He’s my Congressman - and I’ll tell you, Jones barely won his primary - over a member of the Bush administration who had the backing of every single local Tea Party group in the district. That should tell you something about Jones.
But I gotta admit, this is one of his good days.
Executive Orders order who? Just the Executive right? It’s not like they are legally binding like legislation right? So if he changes Immigration Law on his own illegally with an Executive Order, can’t people that follow his order be prosecuted/fired for breaking or failing to enforce the legitimate law on the books? Prosecuted/Fired by who though? Any Federal Prosecutor? State Prosecutors possibly?
Now that’s a depressing thought....the only fly in the ointment is that Jones cannot stand Boehner.
Good for Walter.....Now if the Bonehead can grow a pair and get a spine.....(ain’t holding my breath)
No chance Impeachment happens with the idiot as Speaker
Should’ve been on the table term 1
Impeachment is a must do. It has been off the table in the base too long and it should have been on the table in the GOP a long time ago.
This guy may well be a complete idiot. I do not doubt that. But it has to be brought into the open and it has to be acted upon.
I know all the arguments not to do it. I read them every day on FR by political cowards who expect Lancelot Cruz to ride in and with a single swipe of the Sword of Great and Mighty Justice, smite the demonic Dem hordes.
Ted can only do so much. We, the base have to make the noise to demand impeachment. Loud and clear. As I said, this guy may well be a fool. In the kingdom of the blind, the one eye’d man is king. And he seems to be the only guy in DC right now with vision.
To be impeached, Obama would have to do more to alienate the country - which he may in fact do with executive orders on amnesty, carbon, etc - and if he vetoes Keystone - if he does all that, I think he’ll be weak enough to impeach.
The problem is, most Americans simply do not want to see any President impeached. They just don’t. It’s foolish, the shallow reasons, but we live in a shallow country.
Impeach the bastard and get it over with. Jail time for certain!
Time it so that after the vote in the house, you send it on to the newly sworn Senate for conviction.
We are only weeks away from a new Congress and Senate. Here we sit mid way through Nov., so 8 weeks or so the republicans take control of the upper body.
Damn, if “we all” can see this, why in sam hell does congress keep acting like a bunch of rookies.
Watch Obama time Amnesty with the Grand Jury announcement in Ferguson in order to create a 'chaotic racial stew' typical of the community organizer he is.
Exactly! Boehner is a disgrace and is the weakest opposition leader ever elected as a leader.
If the GOP actually TOLD America the truth of what Obama is doing, you would see democrats scream for impeachment.
Right now, today, the only people remotely with a clue are here on FR and other right wing sites. That means there are probably more gay people in America than people actually aware of Obama’s actions.
They get spin from CNN, MSNBC and yes, Fox. Not truth. They don’t know any of this stuff. They only know what they have fed them.
And who is the sole party to blame? The opposition party. It is completely their job to inform their constituency and they have not. Imagine if they did. Imagine if suddenly Barry as he is was exposed to the world every time a GOP pol took a microphone. The Right base would be apopleptic. The Dem base would be damn uncomfortable and demand answers of their own from their demon overlords.
That’s really how simple impeaching this bastard is. You simply rely on 40,000 years of human nature. No one EVER likes being lied to unless it involves leather, heels and a whip.
There is no call for impeachment because the people with the power to impeach have worked tirelessly to suppress it. If they worked to say why we should, they might find they have to.
Thia guy is a trial balloon a mile high. And we need to add helium, not pop it.
“Foolish”? I might agree with you had it not been for what happened on November 4th. Republicans won IN SPITE OF DEM VOTER FRAUD, so it must’ve been quite a resounding consensus.
You inform the dems they can go down with him when the investigations of Gruber begin, or impeach.
You impeach and then you go after every aspect of Dem corruption publicly openly and vigorously instead of making cowards excuses for not doing what the fdounders wrote as the solution to the problem.
Not gonna happen. Dems will simply say it is racist and the Pubbies will back off.
There is no reason to even discuss impeachment until you can name the thirteen democrat senators who will vote to convict Obama.
Two-bits, Obummer will claim “it’s not amnesty” (depends on his definition of amnesty) and therefore not impeachable.
