Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) says impeachment should be on the table if President Barack Obama moves forward with executive amnesty. Speaking with Breitbart News Wednesday evening, Jones explained that should Obama move to unilaterally legalize undocumented immigrants, it would be a constitutional issue, not an issue to be solved by restricting funding, as some Republicans have floated. To me a constitutional question means that we have the option of impeachment, Jones said, explaining that he thinks the best option to confront Obamas executive amnesty would be impeachment. We have a Constitution, and I am very disappointed from year to year that we do not follow the Constitution. To me, if you think the president has violated his trust of office, meaning with the American people, then follow the Constitution, Jones added. The North Carolina Republican is no stranger to calls for impeachment, having at varying times seen impeachment as a way to deal with Obama on Obamacare and former President George W. Bush on Iraq. He voted against the Republican resolution earlier this year to sue the President over Obamacare because he said it would be kicked out. He told The Hill at the time that impeachment would be preferable if the GOP were serious about the issue. Jones further noted that he supported a resolution from former Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) to impeach Bush over Iraq. We continue to forget that we have a constitutional responsibility, and to me, look at the constitutional responsibility first before you look at something second, Jones said to Breitbart News, then stressed that he thinks Obama is a fine person.

'Moving Keystone' = 'Moving Impeachment'?!
SRSLY?!!!
Count me as not in your "anyone" category Norm. Is it Happy Hour at Cheers already?
It’s a bad analogy Dexter. The fact is, Keystone is popular. Impeachment is not. Keystone is not going to totally rock the Republic in a traumatic way, impeachment will.
It really is just not at all a good comparison Leroy.
All Impeachment does is give the Presidency to that idiot Biden, even if it succeeds.
Actually it is Thurston. If you set aside your ridiculous need to top me in a public discussion and look at it on it’s merits, you’d see that.
Impeachment is the constitutional remedy. You either believe in the constitution as the law of the land or you don’t. You help move the people to enact that law or you don’t. All the rest is either just excuses or intent to subvert. But the Constitution says impeach for HCAM and he’s multiply met the threshold. Your job as an American is to help make that happen. Nor spread the crap as to why it ‘can’t.’
The Audacity [Spurred By] the Dope
Funny how often you pop up to be contrary.
why don’t you just be me your entire net worth on whether he is impeached or not?
Put up or shut up.
Obama supplied the ammunition himself

Very, very true.
I won't be getting on those "trains" however.
I know where they go.
It's sad that most Americans are already resigned to be on board and assume that these trains go East because there is 'work' there.
They will refuse to understand what has happened to us.
Until they are over a trench they walked themselves over to.
Meaningless statement and a waste of time. Boehner’s statement is all that matters and impeachment is off the table.
Why don’t you start backing what you admit is the correct course of action? Put up or shut up. Besides, I doubt you’d want to take on my hospital bills.
Because your strawman ducking aside, thats the bottom line here. youe entire arguement comes down to why it won’t happen. That’s why I responded to you to begin with. you started with the negative and all your posts here, even when you had to agree, were always ‘can’t’ or ‘won’t’
So it’s not hard to bake the connection that you don’t actually WANT the bastard impeached. All your talk is counter to it. And you claim to be conservative? You back RINOS, you make excuses and you dodge anything that doesn’t fit your T. Coddington Vorhees IV “I shall ride you to victory” mentality.
Do you believe in the Constitution Thurston? Prove it be supporting what it says for a change.
Those that willfully ignore the lessons of history are as doomed as those that forget.
enjoy lala land. You are not going to get your way on this, even though I’d like to see it. On the other hand, it is going to be better to defeat him ideologically rather than this way, so that liberalism is discredited, not just a single liberal.
I’m out.
Yea, I thought actually working to support the Constitution was something you’d refuse to do. You can’t even encourage people to do it much less do it yourself.
I'm very curious as to this thinking when we have myriad and voluminous evidence that the government now in power, has no intention of following any kind of Constitutional law it disagrees with, and that the "opposition Party" itself has refused to even consider that 'remedy' and has surrendered any authority to uphold it.
Having refused to uphold their oaths, they have by default, surrendered ALL authority to the Executive which is why it acts with impunity. They have no standing politically, or strategically to suddenly hold the Executive to account via impeachment. They have already told us that "Impeachment is off the table" - along with the power of the purse.
So why are we still advocating getting an oligarchy to uphold a remedy they have already rejected and surrendered???
Impeachment is no longer a viable option, no matter how loud we scream for it as evidenced by the GOP Ruling Class redefining the electoral victory as a mandate to 'move to the middle'.
From a strategic viewpoint, The Obama regime has clearly demonstrated that they are able and willing, to stoke civil unrest and promote a lynch mob mentality based on race. That fact is not lost on anyone in Washington who may have been already warned of that, or are able to do simple arithmetic and know that impeachment is an automatic casus belli for Obama and the MarxoFascists in power and the media.
In other words, if the GOP dares impeachment - the entire country goes Ferguson.
You either believe in the constitution as the law of the land or you dont.
You and I believe it does, but we are a growing minority and those in power in Washington DO NOT. They already govern against our will and our own party leadership has declared war on us. It does not matter what we demand or say - or how loud we scream or how many of us protest. Oligarchies become enraged with contempt for those who dare to question or challenge them.
You help move the people to enact that law or you dont.
An oligarchy that has corrupted and rigged the system to ensure perpetual power for themselves and their chosen bloodline, does not consider itself accountable to the people whom demand they act on ideas and policies that they find contemptible.
Or are we not paying attention to what is actually going on and continuing to feed our Normalcy Bias in a vain hope that we have not arrived where we actually are?
If so, we're repeating the same behavior that doomed the Jews of 1930's Europe. Because like them, when they were told from those in power what was inevitable, they refused to believe it.
It’s dog simple. If we did collectively what the Constitution instructs, there would be a period of upheaval and we would return to constitutional governance.
I mean we did that twice now and it worked great for decades each time so I have no reason to think the third go at it would fail any faster.
But you are right, these drioids can’t even speak in that direction much less act. I have no pity for them in whats coming. They deserve the cattle cars they walk into. They didn’t lift a finger to stop it. Not even a spoken word.
I believe we now exist in a post-Constitutional Fascist Oligarchy.
Just watch as Obama and his Squadrisi continue to go full Mussolini.
I think that if We The People understand where we have arrived, and proceed from that point, we will find that the solutions needed to stopping this tyranny are going to be more viable, even if it is a cost we would rather not pay.
Stopping this tyranny is going to have to come from OUTSIDE of D.C. and the Federal Reich that has corrupted the entire institution of republican government.
Agreed. But as I say, the Constitution provides for that as well. No, it won’t come from DC and really thats what my whole deal boils down to. WE have to get off our asses. It really does not matter what form that ultimately takes because people simply refuse to speak about doing anything in the direction of fixing this mess much less actually doing anything to begin with.
Thus Fallout/Road Warrior/cattle cars.
Well, that’s one.
Only 300+ to go.
