In the end, does it matter? Decades ago, any legal immigrant and their sponsor were required to state that they would never become a public burden while a resident alien. I guess all that went out the window years back.

America today is nothing more than a clearing house for immigrants (both kinds) establishing citizenship and sponsorship for untold millions of relatives to repeat the process. The one thing they have in common is an in-depth knowledge of EITC, EBT, SSA, SSDI, SSI, Section 8, WICs and a host of other national and local programs, and how to get them.

You only need visit your friendly Social Security office to see this.

Moot point. MY great-grandparents+, when they came to this county, had to show they would benefit the U.S. when they (LEGALLY) immigrated.

D.C. keeps the barn door open, and seemingly only benefits those from outside the U.S.

Either way it is still f-ing no way to run a country, unless you are a Marxist...

Its interesting I am in a community that has a huge population of immigrants from Russia, Moldova, Ukraine. Many of these people have parents that come and immediately get them on SS# and housing assistance, food stamps, its ironic because many are believers in Christ, but yet they come out of a post communist impoverished society and think nothing of taking government handouts. The younger ones work very hard however and contribute to our society (at the least the followers of Jesus) can’t speak to the secular ones.
