Boston Globe: Time for Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to go
Boston Globe ^ | November 12, 2014 | Scot Leigh

In politics, there’s nothing harder than realizing that it’s time to go.

People who have made their careers as Beltway politicians start to think they’ve become indispensable to Washington, when in fact it’s Washington that has become indispensable to them. And so they can’t or won’t recognize when the moment has come to move on to other things.

For Democrats Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, that moment has arrived. With the Democrats’ midterm losses, the two 74-year-olds should announce that when this session of Congress ends, they will relinquish their roles as leaders of their respective Democratic caucuses.

Me too, Dingy “won” this last election only because of massive massive fraud. I wish the new senate would hold hearings on this and refuse to seat Dingy. He absolutely not the legitimate senator from Nevada and he does not represent us. He is an embarrassment. But, of course, the senate cares more about protecting their own then doing what is right for the people.

I'd support stripping Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid of their perks and pensions. Then send them to Leavenworth, KS for 25 years to life under 23 of 24 hour lock down.

What probably bothers them most about last week’s election results is that the Republican Party (remarkably) now comes across as a young, diverse, vibrant group of people ... while the Democrats (also remarkably) are now seen as the party of old white rich people.

You're right. But it's not just that democrats are old and white - it's that they haven't had a new idea in 50 years...

“Seeking a way and straying from the way,
Not knowing how to find the open air,
But toiling desperately to find it out—
Torment myself to catch the English crown.
From that torment I will free myself,
Or hew my way out with a bloody axe”

I think she’s under 5’ tall and about as wide as she is tall, so she is a munchkin.

I agree. If the Dems want to win back from their losses they need to get rid of Reid, Pelosi, Hillary, Biden, all the old, tired, losers, and look for young, dynamic new leadership. That being said, doubt it will happen. Hilary will be running for an elusive victory even when she is in a walker.

For the record, I do not agree with Scot Leigh. He agrees with me because I have been saying Scary Reid and Nancy Peloser need to go for a very long time.
