I freaking loved that guy

Conservatives MUST do a better job of vetting these wannabes. Every presidential cycle, we have relatively weak wannabes who somehow manage to convince some that they are the saviors of the party, the nation, the world, the universe.

Conservatives seem to leave their common sense outside on the porches.

2008 -- Fred Thompson. It took me 5 minutes to discover that he not only supported McCain's Campaign Finance Reform, but was chairperson of the Senate committee that wrote the damn thing -- which was original named: McCain-Feingold-Thompson.

2008 -- Huckabee and McCain worked together to keep Romney from gaining any steam.

2012 -- Herman Cain. That one wrote itself into oblivion. "I categorically reject the allegation ..."

2012 -- Michelle Bachmann, 'I promise a return to $1.80/gallon gas.'

Exactly!

It is absolutely important for as many of us as possible these next two years to trumpet the need to focus on a single candidate, and to avoid looking the merry-go-round disaster of 2012.

The establishment has their lackeys on deck already. Let them fight each other for money and air this time.

We know the left is not afraid of Bush or Christie. We know they are certain losers. We know that one serious conservative candidate (not someone that just gets the nod from goofy Iowa caucus-goers or irrelevant NH brown-nosers) will roll these guys if we are disciplined and serious ourselves.
