WASHINGTON (AP) — His influence at home fading, President Barack Obama is looking abroad to China, the opening stop of a three-country trip that will test his ability to play a commanding global role during his final two years in office.

Once Obama was treated like a superstar on the world stage. But the president will arrive in Beijing on Monday under far different conditions, with his most powerful days behind him.

At home, Republicans are still rejoicing at having pummeled Obama's party in the midterm elections, relegating Democrats to the minority in both chambers of Congress. His counterparts in Asia surely have noticed.

Has any other president been photographed so many times with a stupid shit-eating grin on his damn face? If I never see one of those again, it’ll be too soon!

Well, two years remain, and she’s old. If she keeps up with the boozing, it should be a race between her liver and brain to see which one pops first. We can only hope!

After he surrenders to North Korea, China, Afghanistan, and Iran, he’ll be hailed by Partisan Media Shills from coast to coast.

Granted, but you know they’re all gonna be lookin’ at him funny anyway! Like to hear the out-of-earshot commentaries buzzing around his little entourage!

What global clout?

Why, the one he keeps in his deluded little head! He refuses to realize what miniscule remnants he did possess dried up and blew away Wednesday morning!

Yep, it’s pretty bad when he’s gotta go overseas to get his ego’s weasel greased. Good for us, though! No 0!

This is off-topic, but I don’t know how else to ask-if Obola said something to the effect of “Make no mistake, this election is a referendum on my policies”-and he did say something to that effect-and his party gets pretty wiped in said election-just what makes him think that his immediate reaction should be to double down on those policies? Spite? A big middle finger to America? His always in-play narcissism? His hatred of America and desire to destroy her? All of the above?

More importantly-did the Republicans who will comprise the majority at the national level, and all levels below, pay any attention to his statement, especially in light of his immediate declaration to continue to push those policies in spite of what he himself called a “referendum” on them, one which he lost?

I'd bet on the narcissism, mostly. It refuses to allow him to admit defeat of any nature. I'm the President, dammit, and I will not be denied! [spit]

And the 'Pubs best be paying attention! This is the big one! There will be no more business as usual as far as the people figure, they're well and truly pissed off, and everybody's watching and keeping score!

That's my 2¢ worth, anyways. That and 2¢ will get you...2¢! ;)

China's approach to Obama reminds me of a family member...always polite and never confrontational...but you get their drift as they “politely” and successfully evade discussion of matters that are significant to you. They accommodate you while visiting but never any meaningful discussions. You are there and recognized....but nothing more.

The Chinese HATE Obama and they continue to mock him.

This is what the Chinese government newspaper “Global Times” editorial on Nov. 7th said.

“Obama always utters “Yes, we can,” which led to the high expectations people had for him. But he has done an insipid job, offering nearly nothing to his supporters. US society has grown tired of his banality.”

King Barack usually dumps a 10 pound Blivet on America as he departs on one of his multi-million dollar jaunts.

I haven't seen a lot of rejoicing but the AP had to come up with something to make republicans sound ill behaved.

Yeah, I saw that earlier, most heartwarming!

Kinda odd how no one in foreign media makes much of a note on his preferential treatment of latinos and how he ignores his black base. 'Brown is the new black!' Oh, that worked out well, eh wot? XD
