You need to know what your child is taking. You said in post 21 it may be World Issues. What is it? World History or World Issues? If you go in half-cocked you will loose all credibility. Does the teacher allow other opinions/discussion or does he or she just lecture as if it is gospel?
I teach and we get into discussions at times that are not germane to the specific topic we are talking about. That is part and parcel of the learning process.
My grandchildren are at two very good Catholic schools. At times they come home with something that happened in class and it takes time to tease out of them what really happened.
Be sure of your facts and then proceed.
Numbers to tease out:
“The state doesn’t need to own the means of production, only control the means. With Obamacare regulating the healthcare industry, the EPA and DOE controlling the means of energy production, Obama has a pretty good start.
His policies have increased the true unemployed; 5.8% is a bogus number. Considering the 6% decrease in labor participation (that by itself corresponds to 10% unemployment) and the approximate doubling of those on permanent disability (another 3%), we have a true unemployment rate of nearly 20%, and I’m not even counting the number of people whose employment has been reduced to part time due to Obamacare.
With all Obama’s talk of fixing income inequality and his creation of an increasing low income class, he clearly has socialist intentions. Hitler was a nationalist socialist, but Obama is an internationalist socialist. If he’s not a communist, he doesn’t have far to go to be one.”
