Obama calls for end to gridlock
The Hill ^ | November 7, 2014 | Justin Sink

President Obama opened a White House meeting with congressional leaders by calling for an end Washington’s gridlock, arguing that was the message behind Tuesday’s Democratic drubbing.

Speaking from the White House dining room, where he was flanked by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on one side and Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on the other, Obama said the midterm result demonstrated that voters were “frustrated by the gridlock in Washington.”

“They’d like to see more cooperation,” the president said. “And I think all of us have the responsibility, me in particular, to try to make that happen. And so, this gives us a good opportunity to explore where we can make progress on behalf of the people who sent us here.”

" all of us have the responsibility, me in particular"

Yes, Obama was responsible ... and will remain responsible for monumental gridlock in months ahead.

Its time to implement OUR agenda.

If the President doesn’t like it, our reply should be “we won.” And he can lump it.

The GOP was NOT elected to implement an Obama Lite agenda.

On that, the American people were emphatically clear on Tuesday night.

No election in America has ever delivered a more pointed message.

It would have been nice if McConnell would have said something like, “Remember when you said your policies and agenda were on the ballot? Well, you lost.”

Obama’s definition of cooperation is “cooperate with ME.”

There was no sign that the voters were fustrated with gridlock. None.

These voters WENT to vote the democrats OUT:
- The voters appauled at how Ebola has been handled.
- The voters appauled at the abuses by the IRS.
- The voters who don’t believe the economy was getting better

These stayed home because of a lack of enthusiasm for the democrats:
- No Keystone pipeline...no jobs, no cheap oil
- Inept handling of ISIS
- Bring in illegal immigrants? Not enough jobs as it is

Those that disagree with Obama enthusiastically voted democrats OUT of office.
Those who agree with Obama had little reason to have enough enthusiasm to vote.

Girdlock had nothing to do with it.

B.S. The people want your agenda stopped!

So in answer to those who wonder why companies like mine were only close to being right, instead of being dead on, here is my answer.

The American people cannot stand Barack Obama. They dislike his policies. They dislike his "above it all" demeanor. And they rose out of their chairs and off their couches and came out in droves to defeat anyone who they thought was even remotely supportive of him or his administration.

Yep, I was one of those dumb pollster/analysts who thought that no president in a midterm election could possibly be as big of a drag on candidates as was Obama. But I was wrong. He wasn't just a drag; he was his own voter turnout machine for Republicans.

The fact is that too many Americans wanted to vote to make it clear that the emperor has no clothes. And they did so. After all, the polls had shown that they are unhappy about Obamacare, Ebola, the IRS, ISIS -- you name it. And it wasn't a matter of frustration with "all politicians," as some in the media tried to spin it. It was the president and his policies. Period.

And so they raced to the polls in mass numbers and decided that they would do whatever they could to rescue their nation before it was regulated and red-taped to death.

So Lord Foul is calling for an end to gridlock, how come he didn’t have a problem with dingy for the last six years?

“frustrated by the gridlock in Washington. [...] They’d like to see more cooperation,” the president said.

Willfully ignorant, outright stupid, or intentionally evil? No, Pres__ent Obama, we want a return to the democratic republic our Founders left for us. Anything less than that is a waste of time and in our way. So move it.

Obama wants to use polling from Mike Bloomberg as a guide to what he will sign.

"Obama calls for end to gridlock"

Does that mean Obama is resigning?

Rush had a caller who made an interesting comparison between the “Limbaugh Theorem” - that Obama always acts like he’s an outsider, and he’s just as angry as anyone else at anything that’s going wrong. As if he had nothing to do with it.

The caller pointed out that the POTUS is head of government, and he’s acting like a head of State who has no authority over the government. Actually, POTUS is our head of state as well as our head of government; the queen of Britain is head of state but the Prime Minister is head of government over there.
