Senator Daniel Hall announced on Wednesday that he would shed his party identity and join the Republican Party. “The Senator, who was not up for re-election on Tuesday, told Eyewitness News over the phone, that the people in his district voted in large numbers against the Democratic Party and he made the change, to best represent their interests,”

What a political whore! No change of heart. No change of convictions. What he said was: I'm switching so I can get reelected, but, bet your sweet a** and the house cat, I'm still a Democrat at heart. Now I just have to snow the Republicans in my State District.

He's a politician. Heart and convictions don't matter. Votes matter. See what he votes for and you will know his heart.

'We just need to win and we`ll take over the party from the inside!', yeah, right!

“No change of heart. No change of convictions.”

While this is troubling on the face of things, it actually speaks of an integrity few in public office have: one that understands the overall purpose of being REPRESENTATIVE of the people. We tend to vote people into to office who most agree with our deepest passions, yes. A representative in certain respects must reconcile the differing passions of his constituency.

There are many people in public offices, however, whose convictions are manifestly contrary to a civil, self-governing society. Namely those who wink at sodomy, abortion, and such while taking bribes. These are the ones who need weeding out. Nancy and Harry, for starters. They shouldn’t even be allowed to vote, let alone hold public office.
