As we all know, Bob Dole will not be with us much longer. Helping to save Roberts' seat and getting a Senate majority may well be the last time he serves his country.

On the day he leaves us, there will be many salutes and a few tears from coast to coast.

Almost 45 years ago I wrote in Bob Doles name for POTUS in my first Presidential election. And I was born and raised a New Yawker, city type. Go figure.
