To begin with, this election was, generally speaking, a rejection of the notion being advanced by many in the establishment wing of the Party that the Republicans needs to move to the Left on social issues like abortion and gay marriage. Earlier this year, GOP establishment leaders like Kevin McCarthy and Paul Ryan announced their plan to begin trying to recruit Young Gun candidates socially liberal, and often homosexual, candidates to run under the Republican banner in an effort to broaden the appeal of the Party, especially to younger, socially liberal voters. John Boehner backed this effort, throwing money at the candidates who had been recruited to run this year. However, the voters who were supposed to be impressed by the GOPs lurch to the Left on individual choice issues instead reacted with a collective yawn. In the race for the open seat in Massachusetts 6th congressional district, Young Gun Richard Tisei - a gay Republican who has a 100% rating from NARAL and Planned Parenthood, who (obviously) supports gay marriage, and who is married to his partner - lost by 15 points to a non-incumbent and relatively unknown Democrat. To give this some perspective, Tisei had ran for the same seat in 2012 against a well-known and long-time incumbent and lost by only a single point. It does not appear that Tiseis choice to flaunt his peculiar lifestyle choice did him or the GOP any favors this time around...

If someone wants to spread the disease of immorality they get shown the door. They were told to stop and did not do so. Even the Bible says to show your brother his sin and if he doesn't repent turn him out.
I have a sister who is a lesbian. I love her, but what she is doing is wrong. We discussed the issue last spring, and she said that she was grateful that I was honest with her.
She regrets her decision to live as a lesbian, but feels that she can’t leave her partner, who she cares about, but as a friend. They own a house together. She feels resigned to her situation, because she wants to do the right thing, and they are not young.
These situations can be painful.
They can be extremely hurtful but your sister knows you love her, doesn’t she.
Yes, she does. She also knows that my husband loves her. It’s a good thing. Despite that our last meeting was at the funeral of one of our sisters, we shared some laughs and some tears. Life is too short.
Indeed it is short.
Yes. Sadly, it is.
My uncle, sadly, went out of his way to burn bridges.
He does this, periodically.
He will wander into our lives, begin psychotic games with manipulation, dishonesty, etc, then go on and act like we don’t exist.
Once upon a time he really did seem like a nice funny guy.
Somewhere in there he got really really weird.
And there is squat I can do for him besides pray.
I am confused. I am a small government conservative, yet reading replies here I guess I'm wrong. I don't believe in drugs or abortion, so the government controls that, so the government should be able to say no to gay marriage.
To me, reading FR is great. I like to see what others are thinking.
I really don’t approve of their lifestyle, but it seems that I was. Sorry.
It is painful...
Hope you do pray for him and all gays...I should do some praying, too.
Their lifestyle kills them. Do a search on homosexual lifespan. It’s not just disapproval, it’s sadness that they embrace something so deadly and call it “love”. Very few live past age 50.
Get off my back. You don’t know me. You don’t know anything about me. Stop reading my mind and look inside your own.
Your sarcasm says a lot more about you than about me.
I am now officially a former admirer of yours. You have lost face and reputation in my mind with your carping about someone
who may or may not be a homosexual but who advocated for it on FR, which is a zotting offense.
Don’t like the zot? Complain to Jim (courtesy ping). He’s the one who pulled that trigger, not me. All I do is announce the
zots. I am not a mod and can’t zot anyone.
Why yes; yes, it has. And that's why you are seeing and hearing about more buggery and buggery attracting behaviors than ever in the history of this nation. And buggery recruitment in schools and universities. It bugs most of us who want our children to grow up unmolested, including their minds and imaginations. Monky see; monkey do. It's time for shame to have a revival on the American horizon.
On this thread? Really? I stopped reading right there...
You need not be reactionary; however, you should strategically move your position on the chessboard of life so that you are not vulnerable to emotional blackmail and forced acceptance of their behavior. Because even giving the appearance of accepting the behavior is not love. It is contempt for them, really.
It’s not like homosexuals don’t have myriad other places to give their views (views that we are all too well aware of).
Good to see FR remains a decent place that builds on conservative ideals, rather than answering to homosexuals.
Thank you for the ping, TOL. :)
You never did answer my question.
But considering you were cheer leading for a homosexual troll and calling those who oppose homosexuality “perverts”, “ morons”, and “cyber stalkers”, I bet I know what your answer is.
Belatedly, you’re most welcome for the ping, Mr. Freeper. ;-)
