Voters demanded change from Washington on Tuesday, and Republicans say its now up to President Barack Obama to deliver it.
But dont count on that happening.
The White House that emerges after the midterm elections wont look, act or sound drastically different than the one battered for months by Republicans and abandoned by Democrats desperate to hang onto power. The president will seek some common ground with Republicans, but there are limits to how far Obama wants to go and Senate Democrats will let him go.
Despite losing the Senate, Obama doesnt think too much should be read into election results from a handful of states that never approved of his job performance in the first place. Obama acknowledges that he needs to do better, and he will make modest adjustments to his staffing, messaging and legislative strategy in response. But he wont pivot to the right, as he did after his self-proclaimed shellacking in 2010, White House officials said in interviews this week.
Obama will strike a tone of compromise and accountability during his public remarks Wednesday, promising to work with Republicans who are interested in working with him. Hes gone almost two years without a major legislative achievement, leaving him very willing to start cutting deals, a senior administration official said, possibly on trade, corporate taxes and patent reform. Still, this posture isnt much different than the one hes projected for years.
At the same time, Obama wont back down from using his administrative powers, including plans to issue an executive order on immigration that could be the most aggressive unilateral action of his presidency.

The only chance is for Republicans to strike fast, and to show they are not playing games. They need to at least draw up articles of impeachment, subpoena witnesses from the IRS, Fast and Furious, NSA, DOJ, and Benghazi scandals, and then draw up Articles of Impeachment. The House does not have to vote on them right away, but they need to dangle them under the nose of the Dictator.
I fear that Obama would rather burn this country to the ground than accept that he is a failure and has been rejected.
Is a Great Plan SkyPilot. Prayers the House and Senate are paying attention.
Repeal the Healthcare Act immediately and impeach Obama. Do it now!
Obama?
People hate his guts.
But he will never admit fault. Humility is not a virtue people associate with him.
Local news leading with weather and traffic.
Do muzzies ever concede defeat? Even after you kick their behinds up one side and down the other?
Your job as Executive is to execute the laws Congress passes. You don’t pick and choose which laws, you execute ALL of them. Nor do you “legislate”. You pull anymore executive order garbage and you’ll be impeached. Got it?
>> ...strike fast
Good plan.
Not defiant - petulant. He has the character of a spoiled six year old.
Obama will double down and become more petulant, unruly and determined to wreak havoc.
Remember when you were growing up there was always a rotten kid in the neighborhood who turned over the trash cans, broke windows,
tortured cats and dogs, kicked the girls in their ankles, stole lunch money and swiped cigarettes?
Then he would run to lay the blame on you or one of the other kids.
In those days they used to say “Anyone can grow up to be president.”
But who knew it would be that rotten Obama kid?
Judging from the statements from Romney and McConnell, the agenda is, 1) a bloated budget and omnibus spending bill and 2) immigration "reform."
They won't give us a moment to celebrate. Our work isn't done. We have to keep fighting.
You are correct.
Our work has only begun.
It was hidden for so long...
The chip on his shoulder.
President Spite
He has a meeting scheduled in the white house for Friday (probably just before the golf game)with Congressional leaders. Don’t over look fact he still has the Senate with Weed, er Reid, on his side till January. I would not overlook
what havoc he can do in that time. I hope those going out don’t follow his lead but you are dealing with dems here, not normal people. On happy note about Weed, er Reid, the GOP took the Nevada governor race.
‘zackly.
Would like to know the Valerie Jarrett response to this election.
