Happy Election Day everyone! I figured I'd go ahead and get the election day thread started. Polls open on the east coast in a little less than an hour.
Please be sure to post observations of interest if you went to the polls today.
“So the 80% rule is purist now?”
No. 100% is required.
Hopefully he shames Abortion Barbie to record levels and throws some of her ‘walking’ crap back in her face.
I have yet to see that freeper. Can you name him? I’d hate to think you made that up ;)
Voter turnout across New Hampshire where Senator Jeanne Shaheen is locked in a tight race with Scott P. Brown is so high that it could set a record, says Bill Gardner, the secretary of state.
In Londonderry, in southern New Hampshire, traffic began jamming the roads leading to the polling place at the high school by 7 a.m. More than 100 people were lined up to vote then, said Cindi Rice Conley, the town moderator. Normally, she said, only 5 or 10 would be waiting.
By 2:45 Tuesday afternoon, more than 4,700 people had voted. In 2010, a total of 8,300 people had voted by the end of the day. The record turnout for a midterm election was set in 2010, with 461,000 people.
Anecdotal stories only, I haven’t tried to find solid data. But most news in CT is good. Heavy turnout in the suburbs (but not so much in the cities ... same as 2010).

I am still expecting DEM victories here, with DEM Nappier (Treasurer) in too close to call race. CT is like North Korea ... exempt from worldwide or national trends.
I am hearing that the exit polling is saying that the right track/wrong track number is 31 right track, 65 wrong track. In 2010, it was 35 right track.
WASHINGTON (AP) Most of the Americans voting Tuesday say they are dissatisfied or angry with the Obama administration. But they're not so fond of the opposition, either.
Exit polls find just 1 in 5 voters say they trust the government to do what is right most or all of the time.
About a quarter say they are dissatisfied or angry with both Obama and the GOP leadership in Congress. Another 6 in 10 are unhappy with one or the other of them.
The surveys show voters taking positions that align more with Democrats on many issues. Majorities favor a way for those in the country illegally to stay, for example.
At the same time, most think the government is trying to do too many things an opinion more aligned with Republicans.
I sincerely doubt that record turnout is people wanting less freedom, more expensive healthcare, more imported deadly diseases, more beheadings and less lunch on their children’s plates at school.
is it possible that the turnout assumptions are completely off? That would be unusual for the pollsters to miss signs of it ....
I’m nervous about the whole Senate deal!. Abbott is a sure thing consider him the next governor ...a sure bet! It’s the close elections across the nation I’m worried about! God please give us favor and give us a victory in Jesus name!
more foodstamps with texts on their Obamaphone
Txhurl starts looking at the fridge... when will it be ‘time’?
That worries me. The unions can bus their criminals in from other states to vote in NH, and they don't have to be back in time to vote in their home states as they would in a presidential election year. I'd guess the out of state union vote will hit record levels this year in NH.
Yup, it’s as sure as it can be since we bought a house there!
Missouri is gorgeous too -lots of beautiful acreage. We looked there too. The area we picked seemed to have the combination of demographics, voting history, low taxes on most things, mountain and forest and lake and river recreation nearby, near a small town but still not too far from a big town with all the amenities and possible job opportune if needed, and most importantly, affordable rural properties.
The exodus out of CA continues ;). Since we announced our intentions to escape, the number of people saying they’ll either leave when they retire, will leave as soon as they get a job elsewhere, or wishes they could leave but family holds them here is amazing. Only the liberals and clueless will be left.
Pray that victory, which even I concede will happen despite my loathing for RINOS, results in no amnesty. But they DID promise it.
LOL
txhurl can start looking at the TV (FNC) in about 20 minutes.
Nice!
I got the raspberry champagne instead of the almond as someone bought out all the almond! Maybe it’s a sign!
Our polls open at 6am. We are country folk and commuters, so we have to get up early.
