Despite signs pointing to Republican gains in Tuesdays midterm elections, White House aides said President Obama wont change his leadership style because the contests in red states dont represent a true national election.
With the GOP in striking distance of regaining control of the Senate, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Monday that the vast majority of [Senate races] are actually taking place in states that the president did not win in the last presidential election.
And he said the Republican-friendly nature of this years electoral map would be a reason for the White House to limit any lessons learned from the outcome.
The electorate is different this time than it is in a traditional presidential election, Mr. Earnest said. That will be part of the calculation thats made as we consider what sort of conclusion should be appropriately drawn from the election.

What? No one has made a goofy whiny post about MASSIVE voter fraud yet?
Like why would morons at the WH make a statement like this if they were planning on totally winning all of the races with manufactured votes?
It will suddenly become a national election when the Dims retain the Senate.
SHUT UP OBOLA!!!
we win, you lose! suck it!
For the White House to say this the day before an election means theyve thrown in the towel.
Or he's just opening admitting that election fraud has been orchestrated across the fruited plain. Besides, we don't have national elections anyway. Any dem "victory" will, however, be deemed as a "national mandate" to **** the American People.
If you’re electing Governors and senators, it sure is a National Election.
He'll eventually go on the air and say...big deal...house and senate...but I'm prez and you ain't doing nothing without me...which means you'll be doing nothing!!
White House: Tuesdays vote not a true national electionImpeach on day one.
Translation: Only Democrats get to say “We Won!”.
Gosh Josh, how democratic of you.
“Despite signs pointing to Republican gains in Tuesdays midterm elections, White House aides said President Obama wont change his leadership style because the contests in red states dont represent a true national election.”
Yeah, it’s not as if all House seats are being contested. Oh, wait ...
Red states are just supposed to pull the wagon, pay the freight and be good little serfs, dontcha know?
Then why in tarnation did he make that speech where he said, “I’m not on the ballot but my policies are.”
Good point!
I knew it was all bullshit.
Exactly...0bama doesn’t compromise, it’s his way or the highway because “he won.”
impeach Obama
That’s the ticket, throw the entire nation under the bus all at once. Winning!
It's just that they are figuring it won't be enough to surmount the tidal wave.
On election night in 2010, James Carville famously put a waste basket over his head in embarrassment when the returns began to show that Republicans would win by a landslide.
It’s nice to remember that at least some Democrats once had a sense of humor.
Of course, according to Obama, if the Republicans win by a landslide again tomorrow, they won’t really have won. Does that mean the Democrats will have won instead? Poor James Carville — how will he know what headwear to choose for tomorrow night’s TV commentary?
