It's actually a very simple idea: Everyone in society receives a single basic income to provide for a comfortable living whether they choose to work or not.
Sweet! What could possibly go wrong with that?

Especially if EVERYONE turns in EVERYTHING they make to the the government & then the government doles out the single basic income to everyone. It’s a great idea - no 1% “rich people” problem, no more food stamps, welfare, if the government has a ‘beef’ with you, they don’t have to sic the IRS on you, just cut off your ‘allowance’ ..... and it goes on and on.
Ecuador is looking better & better.

Confiscate the wealth that would be invested in adapting to the change and instead spend it to have people siting around!
It’s genius!

Well, that covers the “to each according to his needs” part. Where does the “from each according to his abilities” part get addressed?

The reason robots cannot entirely replace humans is that robots need humans to consume what they produce or else there is no need for said robot.

It is much better to enact a minimum-wage law even if it deprives these unfortunates of work

You gotta love the left. They will be the first to tell you that Darwinism is fact and then do their damnedest to deny it. Survival of the fittest, hogwash. What is it southerners say, “well bless their hearts”.

Why are the lefties against natural selection in economic evolution? Why is biologic evolution worshipped but economic evolution ignored?

Science fiction meets liberal utopia.
In a fantastic world of super capable robots, there might be some truth to acquiring wealth at a rapid rate. More like plantations of the old, old South.

Everyone in society receives a single basic income This can't work.

What could possibly go wrong with that?We could get a lot of new immigrants (mostly illegal).
Some might riot because this new welfare may not be enough.
We'd likeley have a lot of early retireees...............
