What happens next if a St. Louis grand jury doesnt charge Officer Darren Wilson?
Questions have been raised in Ferguson, Mo., about the role of that state's senior U.S. senator: Did either Sen. Claire McCaskill or her staff communicate to the Department of Justice that it should end its Ferguson investigation after the local grand jury ends its own?
It's been widely speculated that the St. Louis County grand juryempaneled by police-connected St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCullochwill not indict Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson in connection with the Aug. 9 shooting death of a black teenager, 18-year-old Michael Brown.
And now multiple sources tell The Root that a small coterie of elected officialsmostly white Democratsin Greater St. Louis have been working behind the scenes to bring the controversy surrounding Brown's killing by Wilson to a quiet end.
According to sources, the effort escalated during the past week after a series of one-sided leaks, favorable to Wilson's version of events on Aug. 9, appeared in the press....

The whole nonsense will be over Nov. 4 anyway.
Well, they could always keep it going until 2016.....
This is hugh and series.
It will be a big win-win if black voters blame the Dim Big-City establishment for not indicting Wilson.
Well, Lauren Victoria Burke, it’s about time that you realized that the Democratic establishment does not have your interests as their priority.
Of course, by “your interests”, I mean promoting thuggish behavior by supporting black criminals. Democrat leaders have their own criminals to support, and yours just don’t make the grade.
So, isn’t it about time that you and like-minded folks divorce yourselves from the Democrats (it has been an abusive relationship, after all) and start your own party?
I’ll bring the popcorn.
Here’s your November Surprise:
Investigation Ends at least one day before voting closes.
Gotta turn out the (black) base!
Somehow I don't think the blame will stick to the Democrats. I think the Democrats can safely assume that they will benefit if black rage over a no-bill determination by the grand jury drives black voters to the polls. I'm looking for just such an announcement on Monday or maybe over the weekend.
Perhaps, but it's important to remember that truth has only one side!
When Obama was elected, it seemed to be, at the time, the ultimate expiation for all the wrongs done to Africans living in America.
Now, after six years of unparalleled abuse of power, corruption and good old fashioned incompetence, I am getting the feeling that the electorate, including the black segment, will speak with a largely unified voice in the next several elections.
The message will be--we don't care what color you are, just get this mess fixed or get out of the way.
Holder resurrected George Zimmerman.
They’ll still be trying to get milk outta that dead horse in 2016
If there is, it will be a leak from Holder.
The locals and Nixon surely don’t want the riots
I wonder what all them Democrat supporting police unions think of the view of the underside of the bus.
Dems are worried that rioting will cause a backlash and the “silent majority” will take it out on the dems on Tuesday.
The backlash is coming with or without the rioting. The riots will only increase the size of the backlash.
The fact that Holder jumped into the fray actually was of benefit — it was literally the only thing that the Obama administration did to calm down the racist mobs of rioters in Ferguson.
The officer was injured struggling with the thug, Michael Brown, was treated for the injuries, and his version of events has been confirmed by at least seven eyewitnesses called by the grand jury.
The forensics report also supports his version of events.
I was surprised and pleased when my flaming lib relatives all sided with George Zimmerman back at that fiasco, and I very much doubt that Holder’s people and Obama’s sons helped close the divide in the Demagogic Party. The Ferguson mess and the media riot incitement in both cases has pissed off an awful lot of people who don’t explain their feelings by breaking and burning things. They show up at the polls instead, and tune out the agitprop broadcasters.
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
That's why I don't like the Fox News claiming to be "Fair and balanced".
Leave out this line and you may be on to something.
There is clearly blatant politics and race baiting in the language and phrasing used, and even the implicit "suggestion" that (wrong race) Grand Jury "leaks" were made for the express purpose of fraudulently poisoning the Grand Jury process.
Unmentioned is the fact that no great effort has been made, nor will ever be made to identify the leaker(s) because he/she/it may turn out to be the wrong color or other protected group.)
Of course, we all are supposed to be outraged and demand that the "purer than the driven snow "not-a-smidgen-of-scandal" Eric Holder DOJ should have performed the Local Grand Jury function.
How obviously blatant must the manipulators of the rule of law be before they are investigated and convicted for criminal acts?
