You’re right - most of the comments were not offensive in any way. Also, she made it a point of ignoring all comments entirely - which probably invited some of the “extra attention” she got from the idiots who may have seen this as a “challenge”.
You’d think in 10 hours of walking there would have been at least a few really obnoxious remarks, clearly sexual in nature, etc - yet there are none, and I’m sure we would have heard them if they were made.
Wow ten hours. I didn’t pick up on that.
Your points are solid. Yes, you would think there would be examples of much more crude comments wouldn’t you.
I’m sure they were trolling the worst types of places to prove their point too.
I agree that a simple thanks would have cut some of these guys off at the knees too. I think her point was that she didn’t do anything to draw any of this attention towards herself. I suppose that’s true, but so what. Many woman walk those same paths each day, and somehow they survive. In fact I’m sure they flourish.
Toughen up babe. And get a new boyfriend.
Thanks for the comments.
She handled the comments correctly. Answering would have only served to invite more unwanted comments.
While only a couple were really obnoxious, responses would have elicited a heightening of the obnoxiousness.
Very few of the comments were merely a friendly hello, if any.
